I like pretty cups and I cannot lie! When I saw this sentiment stamp, I just had to giggle because it's SO TRUE - at least for me!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - It's All About The Coffee

 

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  I'm so happy to decided to stop in to see what's brewin'...

 

There doesn't seem to be a coffee-themed craft item that I can pass up and then there are those that actually cause a caffeinated rush :)   These NEW coffee-themed goodies from This Calls For Confetti (TCFC) are so amazing and I couldn't wait to create with them!

I love this Coffee Time A2 Cover Plate Die!  I've used it in two different ways - this first one, I cut out a bronze shimmer cardstock with the die, layered the back side with acetate, lined the edge with foam strips then sprinkled in a few This Calls For Confetti sequins/embellishments (Metallic Chocolate, Dusty Gold and Freshly Ground) enclosed the shaker card with a dark brown cardstock.

Using the same die, for this card I cut out white cardstock. I then added spritzed distress oxide inks and used the cut-out pieces from my first card to paper piece.  On the bottom strip, I added the sentiment using gold foil rub ons from This Calls For Confetti.

 The new Daily Grind 6x6 Paper Pad is GORGEOUS!!  A wonderful mix of patterns and fabulous cafe scenes like the one on my card!

While I love summer, I'm about done with the humidity and ready to welcome in cooler weather and Fall!  

 

For my card, I used pattern paper from Doodlebug Designs Flea Market (my camera didn't exactly capture the deep, rich fall colors of the paper).  The little wagon is from Honey Bee Stamps Little Red Wagon dies; the cute to-go cups and leaves are from Spellbinders I Dance dies and the sentiment is from Honey Be Stamps Pickup Lines stamp set.

 

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Happy Boba Birthday

I have to make a confession.  I've never had Boba tea (gasp!) and I really must find someplace to get some.  But in the meantime, I've been able to enjoy playing with these darling Mama Elephant stamps & dies!

For the background, I blended several different colors of distress oxide inks(Sugar Spun, Worn Lipstick, Saltwater Taffy, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord), spritzed a bit of water and sprinkled white paint in random places.

The shaker cup was created using Mama Elephant Boba Shaker Combo dies.  These cute little critters and the sentiment are from Mama Elephant Boba Tea stamp set.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - It's An Amazing Day!

I started a new job this week.  Being a natural night-owl, changing my sleep habits to go to bed early and get up early has required MANY cups of java to make my days (at least the mornings) amazing!

For my card, I created a mixed media background with distress oxide ink pads then stamped over it with an old wood mounted background stamp I had in my stash forever.  The colorful diecut cups are from Tim Holtz Papercut Cafe die set (one of my favorite cup sets!)  The sentiment, from STAMPlorations Anywhere There's Coffee set, is gold embossed on dark blue cardstock cut from Divinity Designs Pierced Vintage Labels 2 layered on top of light blue cardstock cut with Divinity Designs Vintage Labels 2.

 Be it coffee or tea, a warm brew - especially shared with a friend - warms my heart!  

For my card today, I used Spellbinders Plaid Company Embossing Folder on white cardstock for the background.  One of my favorite dies from The Greetery is the Cozy Cup Coaster Die which I used to cut kraft cardstock for the backdrop.

I decorated the Hero Arts Tea Kettle Dies with flowers and leaves from Spellbinders Delicious Decorations.  The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird Frosty Mornings stamp set.

A simple card for someone who simply loves coffee!  A great all-occasion card that a special note or sentiment can be added to the inside.  Coffee.  Easy.  Colorful.  My kind of card!

I used Miss Ink Hug In a Mug 2-layer stencils with distress oxide inks to create the background.  The word diecut with layers are Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Dies.

 

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Tea Time

I've been itching to get inky and finally got the chance!  I like to dabble in simple mixed media and this Honey Bee Stamps Teapot & Cup dies were perfect to play with.  I used Distress Oxide Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire inks plus Distress Mica Stain Harvest Moon plus lots of water spritzing.

The pretty little flowers and leaves are from Spellbinders Delicious Decorations dies.  I used Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber for the flowers and blended the edges with Distress Oxide Gathered Twigs. For the leaves, I used Distress Oxide Peeled Paint and edged them with Distress Oxide Forest Moss.

For the background, I used Altenew Organic Linen Embossing Folder and added the sentiment from Spellbinders Sentiments For You.

 

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Coffee & Crafting

My best days are generally spending time creating in my craft room with a great cup of coffee or soothing cup of tea!  I just 'get lost' in what I'm making and the time just flies!

For my slimline card, I used some super fun die sets from My Favorite Things (MFT Stamps)!  The lovely cup of tea, glasses, spoon and tea bag were created with MFT Stamps Creature Comforts dies. I love my craft supplies and these absolutely adorable little Copic markers, inks, blending tools, tape and scissors were created with MFT Stamps Tools of the Trade dies.   What's better than a coffee-themed card?  MINI coffee-themed cards!!  These were created using MFT Stamps Mini Mugs dies.

 

 

Saturday Coffee Cafe - I'll Drink To That

I started drinking coffee in my late teens.  There was always a pot of coffee on the stove (yes, those good 'ole peculator types) and practically everyone I knew drank coffee!  Whenever anyone came to visit, they'd bring a coffee cake or other cake to have with...a cup of coffee!  The moms would meet at a local candy store after dropping us kids off at school for...a cup of coffee together!  So, yes.  Coffee has been part of my life for a long time and I believe it to be therapeutic!!

For my slimline card, I layered dark brown cardstock and cut wood grain pattern paper with Divinity Designs Slimline Pierced Rectangles die.  These FABULOUS cups were created with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Papercut Cafe dies!  I was super excited to get this set to make these colorized cups - so fun and easy to create (much, much easier than some of the other colorized die sets)!

The 'coffee' word is from Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Dies - love the three layers which makes the words pop.  The sentiment is retired from Cas-ual Fridays.

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!   I'm so glad you decided to stop in to see what's brewin'...

Today's the last day of 2022!  "Should auld acquaintance be forgot..." and all that :)   It's also New Year's Eve and a time to look with hope and expectation to a new year - CHEERS to all my coffee-loving crafty friends with wishes for good health, happiness and blessings in 2023!

For my card, I used pattern papers from Echo Park Lumberjack Christmas for the background and to paper piece these fun to-go cups from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps I Like Big Cups set!  I added a big snowflake diecut, a touch of bling and the 'cheers' word cut from silver glitter cardstock.
