Saturday Coffee Cafe - Cheers

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!   I'm so glad you decided to stop in to see what's brewin'...

Today's the last day of 2022!  "Should auld acquaintance be forgot..." and all that :)   It's also New Year's Eve and a time to look with hope and expectation to a new year - CHEERS to all my coffee-loving crafty friends with wishes for good health, happiness and blessings in 2023!

For my card, I used pattern papers from Echo Park Lumberjack Christmas for the background and to paper piece these fun to-go cups from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps I Like Big Cups set!  I added a big snowflake diecut, a touch of bling and the 'cheers' word cut from silver glitter cardstock.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Everyone!  See you in 2023!

Hooray!

2020 is just about over -- HOORAY!!  It's been one for the record books without a doubt!  My card is to celebrate a 'farewell to 2020' and hopes for a much better 2021!

For my card, I first cut black, gold glitter and silver glitter cardstock with the Cityscape Slimline dies and layered them onto navy cardstock.  To create the shaker, I cut navy cardstock with one of the Tri-Frame Slimline Dies and adhered a sheet of Slimline Acetate to the back.  Then, using double-sided adhesive foam, I lined the frame.  For the filler, I used Celebrate Silver Sequin Mix and Light Gold Stars Sequins and enclosed the shaker frame with the Cityscape piece.   For the card base, I cut shiny silver cardstock with one of the Slimline Never Ending Nesting Dies and adhered the slimline shaker to the base.  To finish, I cut vellum and silver glitter cardstock with the Hooray w/Shadow dies.

Wishing you and yours a blessed, hope-filled and loving New Year!

Cheers!

Happy New Year!  Celebrating with Cake & Champagne seems like the perfect way to ring in 2020 -- don't you think?!

Creating this bridge card was so much fun!  I started with a piece of Cloud White cardstock (4.25 x 7.5") and scored at 1" and 2" on each end.  For the center, I cut Lead cardstock using the Stitched Burst Cover Panel and for the sides, layered a paper from the Abundant Autumn paper pad. I then cut Rose cardstock using the Grid Stitched Tag die to 'bridge' the two folded sides.

The lovely images are from the Cake & Champagne stamp set and coordinating dies that I popped up onto the Grid Stitched Tag die.  To finish, I cut shiny silver cardstock with the 'cheers' word die from the Hooray & Cheers Word Duo dies and added some clear sequins for 'bubbles'.

Here's to a happy, healthy and safe New Year!  May 2020 be your best year ever!

For my card, I started by layering a festive paper design from the Cheerful & Kind 6x6 paper pad onto a strip of Baby Blue cardstock. Using the Fa La La Circle Confetti Cuts, I cut the outer circle with Rose cardstock and the inner circle with Cloud White cardstock.  The sentiment is from Celebrations sentiment set.  This sweet little guy from Monkey Business is ready to have some New Years fun!  What's a party without a fab party hat?  This one was made using Party Hats stamps/dies.

Time For a New Start

It was a long week!  That first week of the new year - after having some time off for the holidays - really wiped me out!  Now it's time to get back to reality (since I didn't win the PowerBall, I guess I have to :)  Here's to 2016 - it's a new start!

My card was made cutting silver shiny and sparkly cardstock with Tim Holtz's Sizzix clock die and Papertrey Ink's balloons/confetti.  The sentiment is also from Papertrey Ink.  It's hard to see in the photo, but the black paper has shiny diagonal stripes and the brad in the middle of the clock is sparkly!

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration:

Let's Celebrate!

It's time to celebrate!  Not only New Year's, but we also have 5 family members' birthdays we're celebrating in January!

My card was made with this beautiful set I just bought from Stamplorations (Party Dresses) which I heat embossed with gold and watercolored.  The background is also watercoloring.  The word is from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks so much to these challenges for the inspiration:

I chose the Sparkles, Embossing, New line

Happy 2016!

Hope your year is going great so far!  We've been relaxing, watched a little football (go Bucks!), put away some Christmas things, made chili (yum!), watched a couple movies...and I had time playing in my craft room, too!  It's been a great 1st day of the year!

Thanks to these challenges for inspiring my card - all products are from Stampin Up! :
