It's National Tea Day!

Sunday, April 21, 2019

Happy National Tea Day!  In honor of this special day, the Coffee Loving Cardmakers are collaborating with Honey Bee stamps for a super fun blog hop - if you already knew that, then you must have come from the awesome Laurel Seabrook's blog!

Enjoy all the wonderful tea themed projects and comment to win!  There will be two winners of a $30 Honey Bee Stamps gift certificate: one from the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and one from Honey Bee Stamps! You can find the full blog hop list at Coffee Loving Cardmakers or Honey Bee Stamps.  Commenting closes on April 26th.

Both my cards today feature Honey Bee Stamps Tea Time

On my first card, I first sponged Tea Dye and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Inks using a honeycomb stencil.  I then stamped, cut and copic colored several of the images in the Tea Time set.  The pretty daisies are from Honey Bee Stamps Busy Bees set.

For my next card, I sprayed Distress Fossilized Amber spray for a quick background.  Using the Honey Bee Stamps Hexagon Bunches Dies, I cut black cardstock.  The cute little bees and daisies are from the Honey Bee Stamps Busy Bees set and the sentiment is from the Perfect Blend sentiment set.

Next up on the hop is the amazing...Amy Tsuruta

Color Throwdown Challenge #501

Wednesday, July 11, 2018

Happy Wednesday and welcome to a new Color Throwdown Challenge!  I'm excited to be guest designing this month and to share this week's card with you for challenge #501...

My card features several fun images/dies from Honey Bee Stamps!  To start, I cut Reverse Confetti Stormy cardstock with My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle die.  Using Honey Bee Stamps Hexagon Bunches die, I cut Sand cardstock for the outer part of the die cut and Sunshine cardstock for the hexagon shapes.  For the jar and flowers, I used Sweet As Honey stamp set; stamping the jar and word on plaid pattern paper and the top on Stormy cardstock.  The adorable bees and flowers are from the Busy Bees stamp set.

What will YOU create?  Looking forward to seeing your card in the challenge!

I'm submitting my card into these fun challenges, too!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - A Good Idea

Saturday, February 17, 2018

Happy Saturday!  The CafĂ© is open on the Coffee Lovers Cardmakers blog and I’m really glad you stopped by!

A good idea.  That’s how my weekend started.  My daughter is co-planning a baby shower and had a good idea for the perfect baby shower gift she wanted to create.  Since she’s away at college and was only coming home this weekend, she did some things from school, I did some things here and yesterday we ran all over to get the things we still needed for this good idea! (see below)

For my card, I started by creating a background with distress oxide inks.  I cut kraft cardstock with Mama Elephant’s Tri Window Cover die.  The fabulous coffee cup images are from Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Break.  I used Verve Stamps ‘coffee’ word die and a sentiment from SugarPea Designs Caffeine Addict to finish.

Thankfully, I was (and still am) fully fueled on caffeine, because coffee IS always a good idea when you gotta get ‘er done.  The cafĂ© would not have been open today, nor the perfect baby shower gift would have come together, otherwise!!

Lots of pink tissue wrapping and love!
