Saturday Coffee Cafe - Happy Boba Birthday

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe.  I'm so glad you stopped in today to see what's brewin'...

I have to make a confession.  I've never had Boba tea (gasp!) and I really must find someplace to get some.  But in the meantime, I've been able to enjoy playing with these darling Mama Elephant stamps & dies!

For the background, I blended several different colors of distress oxide inks(Sugar Spun, Worn Lipstick, Saltwater Taffy, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord), spritzed a bit of water and sprinkled white paint in random places.

The shaker cup was created using Mama Elephant Boba Shaker Combo dies.  These cute little critters and the sentiment are from Mama Elephant Boba Tea stamp set.

 

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Perk Up!

 

These happy, fun cups created with Mama Elephant's Boba Shaker Combo dies really perk me up!  I know...but it's the little things, right?

For my slimline card, I chose two designs from the Carta Bella Flower Garden paper pad for the background.  For the cups, I cut different colored cardstock for the pieces to assemble.  For the shaker cups, I used sprinkles from Kat Scrappiness.  In the bear cup: Soft Pink Confetti, White Confetti and More S'mores sprinkles and in the frapp cup: Brown Teddy Bear sprinkles and Blue Heart Droplets.  The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Shake It Off stamp set (psst...it's deeply discounted right now!).

For the background, I first layered dark brown cardstock to the card base then used two patterns from Paper Smooches Rainbow Sherbet paper pack. These adorable diecuts were created using Mama Elephant Boba Tea Shaker Combo dies...so cute!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Eeep!

Hey, Coffee/Tea Fans - Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!   There's lots of excitement brewing today, so grab a cup and check it out...

Eeep!  When I saw the new Mama Elephant Boba Tea set, I ran...did not stop...did not wait for a coupon or free shipping...did not analyze whether or not I needed yet another coffee/tea set...I went straight to Mama Elephant's site and bought this set and the Boba Shaker Die (I'll be using that in another post)!!  Now, I've never actually had a boba tea - shocking, I know - but this is just the cutest set that I couldn't resist and I had so much fun coloring the images!!

 I liked setting off the simple scene with this fun, zig zag frame from Hello Bluebird's Gallery Frame #3 Die cut from dark brown cardstock.  The sentiments in this set are really fun, too!

Tonight I got to play with Mama Elephant's Holiday Bitties!  This is such an adorable set, but I especially liked the little cocoa cups.  The sentiment from Mama Elephant's Puffy Holiday Greetings was perfect :)  I used Reverse Confetti's new Stitched Bursts Cover Panel for the background.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #246 - Night Before Christmas

 There was a tradition with my husband's extended family that Dan (pseudo grandpa) would dress up in a vintage sleeping gown and cap and read "Twas The Night Before Christmas" to the kids.  He started that tradition with his own three boys and it continued with our children until he passed away several years ago.  That was such a special memory and something the kids always looked forward to!

 

 Nina has a special challenge for us: to create a Christmas Card using the Night Before Christmas theme.

For my card, I used this adorable Mama Elephant set - Festive Mice.  I've been needing a "reason" to break it open and was so thrilled to see Nina's challenge for this week!
