Saturday Coffee Cafe - You Wam My Heart

Happy Saturday and Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!  I'm so glad you stopped by to see what's brewin'...

Be it coffee or tea, a warm brew - especially shared with a friend - warms my heart!

For my card today, I used Spellbinders Plaid Company Embossing Folder on white cardstock for the background.  One of my favorite dies from The Greetery is the Cozy Cup Coaster Die which I used to cut kraft cardstock for the backdrop.

I decorated the Hero Arts Tea Kettle Dies with flowers and leaves from Spellbinders Delicious Decorations.  The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird Frosty Mornings stamp set.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Cup of Kindness Surprise

Hey, Coffee/Tea fans!  Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe - I'm so glad you decided to stop by to see what's brewing!

I was excited to used several goodies that I 'found' recently while cleaning up my craft room -- surprise!  Isn't it fun when that happens?

For the front of my card, I chose a pattern from the new Echo Park Coffee & Friends paper pad for the background.  Using another pattern from this paper pad, I cut the cup using Lawn Fawn's Outside Stitched Mug die.  The heart and tea tag/string were cut from cardstock.  The cup is sitting on a diecut created with The Greetery's Cozy Cup Coaster Die.  The sentiment is from an older Verve stamp set.

And there's a surprise inside!  I lined the interior of the card with another pattern found in the Echo Park Coffee & Friends paper pad.

This adorable little box was created with Lawn Fawn Mini Pop-Up Box Die and images are from Lawn Fawn Wild For You and Love You Latte sets.

It's a Date...a Coffee Date!

Hi, Coffee Loving fans!  Kathy here!  I'm thrilled to have my good friend Mary Reiner join me today – she’s my ‘official’ coffee date and fellow Ohio Stamp Junkie! Mary and I have known each other for a long time (a really long time) and over the last several years have shared our love for cardmaking!  Here's a little bit about Mary...

Hi! My name is Mary Reiner and I live in Columbus, Ohio. I’m married and have two children in their twenties.  By day, I am a test coordinator for a local school district.   Paper crafting has been part of my life for over 25 years. I started making scrapbooks when my children were younger; but eventually card making took over. I’ve been making cards for about 10 years. After a stressful day, I look forward to my crafting time. Just give me some chocolate and some pretty paper and I’m good! Kathy and I met about 25 years ago when we both worked for Limited Too. She made awesome projects back then as well! We reconnected several years ago at a paper crafting garage sale and now we get to see each other pretty often.  I’m so happy she asked me to be her “coffee date.”

Our cards were inspired by this color combo:

Thanks for joining us today!
