Saturday Coffee Cafe - Tea Time

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  I'm so glad you stopped by to see what's brewing....

I've been itching to get inky and finally got the chance!  I like to dabble in simple mixed media and this Honey Bee Stamps Teapot & Cup dies were perfect to play with.  I used Distress Oxide Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire inks plus Distress Mica Stain Harvest Moon plus lots of water spritzing.

The pretty little flowers and leaves are from Spellbinders Delicious Decorations dies.  I used Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber for the flowers and blended the edges with Distress Oxide Gathered Twigs. For the leaves, I used Distress Oxide Peeled Paint and edged them with Distress Oxide Forest Moss.

For the background, I used Altenew Organic Linen Embossing Folder and added the sentiment from Spellbinders Sentiments For You.

A Bouquet For You

Next to coffee-themed stamps/dies, I tend to gravitate towards flowers and these delicate florals just make me happy!

For my card, I embossed white cardstock with Tim Holtz/Sizzix 3-D Brickworks embossing folder for the background.  The pretty florals are Spellbinders Sealed Blooms dies and the 'twine' is Spellbinders Sealed Twine die.

The wax seal really took me back in time!  I had several pen pals as a young girl and we loved sealing our envelopes with wax/stamps.  I used Honey Bee Stamps Hugs & Kisses Wax Melts and Spellbinders Sending Flowers Wax Seal Stamp.  I used a gold deco pen to 'color' the envelope/blooms in the center of the wax seal.

To finish, I added the sentiment from Spellbinders Sentiments For You stamps.

How Are You Doing?

In our busy lives we can’t always find the time to call folks just to see how they are doing.  Sending them a pretty card with a handwritten note is the next best thing!

1.  For my card, layered blue cardstock to the card base then embossed white cardstock with Altenew Organic Linen Embossing Folder that I brushed the edges with Distress Oxide Ink – Antique Linen.

2.  This lovely floral wreath and flowers are from the new Altenew Sentimental Florals Stamp set and coordinating dies.  There are extra flowers and leaves in the set which I used a few to tuck into the wreath and put at the bottom.  I did put the wreath on a slant - just liked it that way! It was very relaxing to Copic color all these pretty images.

5.  To finish, I gold embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set with Lawn Fawn’s Gold Embossing Powder.

Just Because

Sending a card to someone ‘just because’ is a wonderful way to make their day!

1.  For my card, layered black cardstock to the card base then embossed white cardstock with 3D Texture Fades Brickworks Embossing Folder (I’ll admit it – this is one of my favorite go-to embossing folders!)

2.  These beautiful flowers and leaves were created with the new Avery Elle Ranunculus Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  These layered stamps are easy to line up with the MISTI Stamping Tool – it’s a must-have tool that I use everyday! Inking up with Pinkfresh Ink Cubes Sets Heartbeat and Over The Hills took out all the color guesswork!

5.  To finish, I gold embossed a sentiment from the new Avery Elle More Sentiments Stamp Set with Lawn Fawn’s Gold Embossing Powder.
