How Sweet It Is!

One of the best parts of summer is all the luscious seasonal fruit...like strawberries!  The berries I've been able to get recently are huge, sweet and yummy!

For my card, I used these wonderful Dare 2B Artzy products:

Let's do coffee!  Do you have a cute, cozy cafe near you to meet up with a friend or two? I wish I did!  Instead of the real thing, I created my own...in my craft room :)

This slimline card was a labor of love!  I had SO much fun putting together and selecting the papers, colors and darling little pieces.

Here are all the products I used to create this darling cafe scene:

For my mini slimline card, I used Dare 2B Artzy's Slim Mini Wavy Layers Dies to create the background layers.  The wavy layer also uses one of the patterns in the Feelin' Groovy Collection.  These darling images and sentiment are from the new Oopsy Daisy stamp set and coordinating dies.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Shakin' It Up

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  I'm so glad you stopped by today to see what's brewin'!

I'm so ready for Spring!  We had a few unseasonably nice Spring-like days, but then it gets cold again.  Mother Nature seems to be enjoying shaking things up!

For my slimline card, I used these super cute shaker dies from Kat Scrappiness: Cuppa Love Shaker Card Dies plus several different Kat Scrappiness sprinkles.  There are tons of fun shaker elements to choose from including the faux Coffee Beans I've scattered around!  The Got Coffee? word/shadow dies are also from Kat Scrappiness.

Hoppin' Hello

Just hoppin' in today to say 'hello' and share a mini slimline card created with several awesome goodies from Pink & Main's new release!!

For my card, I cut The Park and and River Walk cardstock using the new Layered Scallops Mini Slim Dies. Using the new Stitched Mini Slim Rectangles Set 1 dies, I cut Ice Rink cardstock and blended The Park and Construction Premium Ink (pads) with the new Bunny Tail Stencil and an Ergonomic Blending Brush for the background. This pretty bunny silhouette comes from the new Welcome Spring stamp set with coordinating dies that was stamped with Asphalt Premium Black Ink Pad and colored the florals with the brand new OLO Markers!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - I'll Drink To That

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  I'm so glad you stopped in today to see what's brewin'...

I started drinking coffee in my late teens.  There was always a pot of coffee on the stove (yes, those good 'ole peculator types) and practically everyone I knew drank coffee!  Whenever anyone came to visit, they'd bring a coffee cake or other cake to have with...a cup of coffee!  The moms would meet at a local candy store after dropping us kids off at school for...a cup of coffee together!  So, yes.  Coffee has been part of my life for a long time and I believe it to be therapeutic!!

For my slimline card, I layered dark brown cardstock and cut wood grain pattern paper with Divinity Designs Slimline Pierced Rectangles die.  These FABULOUS cups were created with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Papercut Cafe dies!  I was super excited to get this set to make these colorized cups - so fun and easy to create (much, much easier than some of the other colorized die sets)!

The 'coffee' word is from Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Dies - love the three layers which makes the words pop.  The sentiment is retired from Cas-ual Fridays.

Hope you get to put some 'zippity' into your doo-dah day with a delish cup of brew today!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Me and My Gnomie

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  I'm thrilled you stopped by to see what's brewin'...

The Christmas season has arrived!  I've started to pull out all my holiday mugs including the ones in my craft room :)

For my slimline card, I first cut red cardstock with Divinity Designs Slimline Scalloped Rectangles then used their Slimline Rectangles to cut this green pattern paper.  The adorable gnome mug and sweets in the corners are from Pixi Dust Designs Christmas Gnome Mug -- SO cute!!  I added the Divinity Designs Candy Cane & Layers and the sentiment is from Ranger Christmas Letter It set.

Folk Art Christmas

My favorite Christmas memory as a kid was decorating the Christmas tree with my dad.  He and I were the most excited to decorate the tree and he’d tell me the back-stories behind our older ornaments.  Those were magical memories and a tradition I continue to this day.

For my slimline card, I created a background blending Distress Oxide Inks Faded Jeans and     Chipped Sapphire onto light blue cardstock with a Picket Fence Studios Blending Brush.

I then splattered the background using Distress Ink Picket Fence refill ink and a paint brush.  I simply picked up some ink with the paint brush and tapped on the brush over the card.

These lovely images and sentiment are from Ranger/Simon Hurley Folk Art Ornaments Stamps

and cut out with Spellbinders Folk Art Ornaments Dies.  Ranger and Spellbinders collaborated on this wonderful collection. Each of the images has been Copic colored (see below for colors used).

I arranged the pieces then adhered them with Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Squares.
