Saturday Coffee Cafe - Let's Do Coffee

Happy Saturday and welcome to the cafe!  I'm so happy you stopped in to see what's brewin'...

Let's do coffee!  Do you have a cute, cozy cafe near you to meet up with a friend or two? I wish I did!  Instead of the real thing, I created my own...in my craft room :)

This slimline card was a labor of love!  I had SO much fun putting together and selecting the papers, colors and darling little pieces.

Here are all the products I used to create this darling cafe scene:

My Favorite Things Be Your Own Barista Dies

My Favorite Things Industrial Finishes Dies

My Favorite Things Bistro Basics Dies

My Favorite Things Picture Window Dies

My Favorite Things Potted Plants Dies

Concord & 9th Bake Shoppe Dies

Saturday Coffee Cafe - It's All About The Coffee

It really IS all about the coffee!  I should probably reduce my coffee consumption, but it's like a cup of comfort to me.  I don't even think the caffeine affects me anymore as I drink it all day long and can still fall asleep at night.  I know, weird, right?!

I decided to use several items from my stash that haven't been used -- some for so long they are, unfortunately, discontinued now.  The paper is from American Crafts Hot Cocoa.  This was a 12x12 sheet, but wish I was able to find the 6x6 pad -- it's so cute!  Both the cup dies are retired from My Favorite Things.  I have tons of dies that cut cups like these, but I appreciate the simplicity of these.  The coffee words - which I cut from white and then gold glitter cardstock - are from Honey Bee Stamps and the set IS still available :)

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Friendship

Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe...I'm so glad you decided to stop in today!

I'm so excited to be meeting a dear friend this week for dinner (at an restaurant with an outside patio!).  I haven't been 'out' to dinner since all the craziness started and my friend and I haven't seen each other since the end of last year.  It's going to be awesome!

For the background of my card, I made a distress ink blended sky and then dry embossed the 'brick' sidewalk and blended it with distress ink.

The darling 'cafe' in the background is from My Favorite Things Boutique die.  Most of the other images are from My Favorite Things Friends At First Sip stamp/die set.  The words on the window are from a Sweet Stamp Shop set.  I love this little coffee cafe scene!

Hope you get a chance to spend some time with friends...and enjoy a yummy cup of your favorite brew!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Brew-tiful

Hello, Coffee Loving fans and welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!  It's February - the month of love - and what I love the most (besides my family, of course) is a wonderful cup of java!  It's a brew-tiful thing!

For my card today, I used several patterns from Echo Park Welcome Home paper pad for layering.  The sweet coffee-lovin' girl image is Grande-sized Love from MFT Stamps which I paper pieced.

Using the MFT Cafe All Day die, I blended inks for the background, edged the 'whipped cream' and created the shaker using a Coffee Cup Shaker Pouch, mini brown sequins the those adorable MFT Frosty Ice Cube embellishments! The cup 'cover' was cut from vellum.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Cozy Christmas

Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe -  I'm so glad you stopped in today!  Grab a cup of brew (or cocoa) and get cozy while you see what I'm serving up today...

We put up our Christmas tree and I love to just sit on the couch with a cup of brew and look at it!  If it were up to me, I'd leave it up all year long, but my family says it wouldn't be as special as when we first put it up for Christmas.  Sigh -- they may be right.

For my card, I first adhered a plaid paper and dark brown cardstock onto the card base.  Then came the fun part...stamping, diecutting and coloring these adorable images from My Favorite Things Merry Christmoose! This set recently came out of the MFT vault and I was thrilled...it's one of my favorites!  It really makes me feel warm all over ;)

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Make It A Grande

Hey, Coffee Lovin' Fans!  It's great to see you again and hope you enjoy your visit at the Saturday Coffee Cafe.  Today I'm sharing a new brew - I hope you like it!

How is it possible that I continue to get more coffee-themed stamps and dies?!  But I do.  I just could not resist the new ones from My Favorite Things!

For my card, I first cut a mustard cardstock using Reverse Confetti's new Stitched Circles Cover Panel and then one of the patterns in Pebbles Woodland Forest paper pad.  I then cut dark brown cardstock using a retired MFT die, Pierced Square Frame die.

The sweet girl with her coffee is the new MFT Stamps Pure Innocence Grande Sized Love set which I paper pieced part of her dress and copic colored the rest.  The mini coffee-to-go cups were created using the new MFT Stamps Mini Cafe All Day dies!  To finish, I cut an opening with one of the MFT Stitched Oval Word Window dies, then using the same die, cut mustard cardstock and stamped the sentiment on the center piece.

Hope you have a Grande weekend!!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Feel Better

Hey, there Coffee Loving Cardmaker fans and welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!  I'm so glad you decided to stop in today to see what's brewin'.

I'd be hard pressed to go without coffee - it always makes me feel good.  However, when I've got to sniffles or feel run down, there's nothing better than a hot cup of tea to help make things right.

For my cards today, I used Echo Park Coffee paper pad on both.  This is one of my favorite paper pads - even if it wasn't called 'Coffee'!  The colors and patterns are so pretty.

For my first card, I layered a strip of one of the patterns onto the cardbase.  The pretty cups were created using Elizabeth Crafts Teacup Dies to cut several patterns from the paper pad.  This sentiment is one of my favorites and it's from Lil Inker Designs Coffee Talk 2 set.

For my next card, I used patterns from the Echo Park Coffee paper pad and navy cardstock adhering strips to the card base.  Two of my favorite MFT products were used here:  Feel Better stamps and coordinating dies plus Tea Party dies.  I stamped one of the sentiments onto the bottom paper strip.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Get Well Wishes

Hey, there Coffee/Tea Loving fans!  Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Café – I’m so glad you’re here!

While my brew of choice is coffee, there’s something about a hot cup of tea that soothes me – especially when I’m feeling under the weather or simply stressed.  I seem to be drinking a lot of tea lately!

For my card, I pulled out some things in my stash that haven’t been used in quite a while.  To start, I took tangerine cardstock and embossed with an old Anna Griffin embossing folder.  The ‘tablecloth’ was created using a retired Reverse Confetti Edger die and pattern paper I’ve hoarded forever.

The tray, flowers, bowl and tissue box were from My Favorite Things and the adorable little tea cut with lemon and tea bag are from Divinity Designs Mini Cups & Mugs dies.  To finish, I stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things Feel Better.
