STAMPtember THIS CALLS FOR CONFETTI Exclusive!!

Yippee!!  Today's exclusive STAMPtember set is from THIS CALLS FOR CONFETTI!!  We're thrilled to be collaborating with Simon Says Stamp to bring you:  UNBELIEVABLY BIGFOOT

For my card, I created a nighttime Distress Oxide background using the moon and trees from the Unbelievably Bigfoot set.  I combined This Calls For Confetti Forest Landscape Metal Craft Die Add-on set to build out the 'forest'.

I stamped Big Foot - and the feet with Distress Ink - Walnut Stain and wet it a bit with a water brush. Then I added the sentiments -- there's several FUN ones in the set.

Be sure to grab this set (also available with coordinating dies) soon as this exclusive set will go quickly and will be gone forever!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Happy Boba Birthday

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe.  I'm so glad you stopped in today to see what's brewin'...

I have to make a confession.  I've never had Boba tea (gasp!) and I really must find someplace to get some.  But in the meantime, I've been able to enjoy playing with these darling Mama Elephant stamps & dies!

For the background, I blended several different colors of distress oxide inks(Sugar Spun, Worn Lipstick, Saltwater Taffy, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord), spritzed a bit of water and sprinkled white paint in random places.

The shaker cup was created using Mama Elephant Boba Shaker Combo dies.  These cute little critters and the sentiment are from Mama Elephant Boba Tea stamp set.

Beautiful Butterflies

I'm a mixed media 'dabbler'.  I love the mixed media look and, at times, it's really fun to get a little inky :)  The card I'm sharing today was simple to create and pretty quick to pull together, too!  Below is a brief tutorial...

 1)  I took watercolor paper and embossed it with Spellbinders 3D Beautiful Butterflies Embossing Folder.

2)  I then blended a few Distress Oxide inks (Faded Jeans, Twisted Citron, Scattered Straw & Gathered Twigs) over different embossed images and spritzed with water using Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer to mix up the colors a bit.  Then, dried the piece with a heat gun tool.

 3)  Using a blending brush, I gently rubbed
Gathered Twigs over the embossed/raised up images and card edges to create a bit of a vintage look.

4)  Taking some Distress Oxide Black Ink onto a glass mat (or piece of acrylic), I spritzed with water and mixed it with a paint brush (or you could use a Splatter Brush.)  Then, I splattered some of the ink onto the card.  You can also use black acrylic paint.

5)  I layered blue cardstock onto the card base then adhered the mixed media piece onto the blue cardstock.

6) I cut gold cardstock using Catherine Pooler Butterfly Buddies dies and again using black cardstock; cutting out the center 'body' of the butterflies and adhered the centers to the gold diecut butterflies.

7)  The sentiment from Spellbinders Hummingbird Sentiments is heat embossed with gold embossing powder onto dark brown cardstock.  I then popped up the sentiment strip with Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Strips and adhered to the card.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Simply Coffee

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!  I'm so glad you stopped by today to see what's brewin'...

A simple card for someone who simply loves coffee!  A great all-occasion card that a special note or sentiment can be added to the inside.  Coffee.  Easy.  Colorful.  My kind of card!

I used Miss Ink Hug In a Mug 2-layer stencils with distress oxide inks to create the background.  The word diecut with layers are Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Dies.

Let's Party!

Pink & Main's November Release goes LIVE tomorrow...that's certainly something to PARTY about!

For my card, I created the background by first using the Sunshine Layers Stencil, applied Embossing/Watermark Ink and then heat embossed with two NEW embossing powders: Hydrangea and Warm Sunset plus Martini Olive. I then blended oxide inks using Ergonomic Blending Brushes and splattered some white paint. These super fun images are from the new Party Time stamps and coordinating dies! I also applied some Touch of Gloss to the disco ball.

Folk Art Christmas

My favorite Christmas memory as a kid was decorating the Christmas tree with my dad.  He and I were the most excited to decorate the tree and he’d tell me the back-stories behind our older ornaments.  Those were magical memories and a tradition I continue to this day.

For my slimline card, I created a background blending Distress Oxide Inks Faded Jeans and     Chipped Sapphire onto light blue cardstock with a Picket Fence Studios Blending Brush.

I then splattered the background using Distress Ink Picket Fence refill ink and a paint brush.  I simply picked up some ink with the paint brush and tapped on the brush over the card.

These lovely images and sentiment are from Ranger/Simon Hurley Folk Art Ornaments Stamps

and cut out with Spellbinders Folk Art Ornaments Dies.  Ranger and Spellbinders collaborated on this wonderful collection. Each of the images has been Copic colored (see below for colors used).

I arranged the pieces then adhered them with Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Squares.
