Happy Fall Y'all

Hey, Crafty Friends - are you excited that Fall is right around the corner!  Kathy here sharing my last card as a Gerda Steiner Designs Guest Designer - it's been SO much fun and am so grateful to have had this opportunity to highlight some fabulous goodies from Gerda Steiner Designs!!

For my card, I first layered dark brown cardstock to the card base.  I then layered several different fall-themed pattern papers to the dark brown cardstock base.  Using a pierced circle die, I cut orange cardstock for a backdrop to the copic colored images.

This darling squirrel and branches/leaves images from the HAPPY FALL stamp set were Copic colored and fussy cut then popped up onto the card.  The sentiment, also from this set, was stamped onto yellow cardstock and cut with a mini banner die then popped up onto the card.

Here's to a blessed, happy Fall season to all!

I'm Nuts About You

Who's ready for fall?!  Kathy here sharing one of my first fall cards featuring the ADORABLE new, NUTS ABOUT YOU stamp set!

While summer is one of my favorite seasons, I'm looking forward to cooler weather and getting out my light sweaters.  Not to mention, I love fall colors!

For my card, I layered dark brown cardstock onto the card base.  I took strips of four different fall pattern papers and glued them together.  I then took orange cardstock, die cut a circle opening and then adhered the strips of pattern paper behind the opening before adhering the entire orange cardstock piece to the dark brown cardstock.

Is this little guy the cutest or what?!  Our little squirrel friend, acorns and sentiment are from the new NUTS ABOUT YOU stamp set.  The images were copic colored, fussy cut and popped up onto the card.  The sentiment was gold heat embossed onto a strip of  brown cardstock then placed in the center of the die cut circle opening; tucking in the ends.  To finish, I added yellow glitter enamel dots.

Wonderful Water-Melon Muncher

I hope you are enjoying these last days of summer not to mention some yummy summer fruit favorites like watermelon!

For my card, I first layered dark green cardstock to the card base.  I then added this pattern paper layer, putting glaze on the "watermelon pits" to make them shiny.  Using a pierced circle die, I cut dark green, black and lime green cardstock and layered them together for the backdrop for this super sweet MELON MUNCHER image.  The sentiment from this set is white heat embossed on a black cardstock mini tag and I added a lime bow.

Happy Summer Melon Muncher

One of the best parts of summer is the yummy fruit - especially watermelon!  This little cutie can't get enough of his juicy melon!

For my card, I layered lime green cardstock to the card base.  I embossed a piece of pink cardstock to layer on top of that.  I had a strip of watermelon pattern paper in my stash which worked perfectly for this set then created a framed background for this adorable MELON MUNCHER stamp set. I copic colored the image and then fussy cut it before popping it up on the framed background.  The 'happy summer' sentiment is included in the set.  To finish, I added several black shiny enamel dots.

Hope YOU are having a very HAPPY SUMMER!

Woodland Friends

How cute are these darling woodland critters from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps?!  They certainly make me smile!

For my card, I created a background using Distress Oxide Mustard Seed ink pad and spritzing with water.  The fence was created using the rectangle shaped stamp in the Wood Backgrounds set which I stamped on kraft cardstock, cut into strips and added a couple strips of brown cardstock for at the top and bottom.

The critters are from the Fur-ever Friends set and this pretty sentiment is from the My Thoughts of You set.

Just Floating By...

There are those people who are just uplifting to others. I'm blessed to know several folks like that and think these adorable critters could remind me to be an uplifting person! The NEW Pink & Main RELEASE goes live tomorrow (1/20)! For today, I'm sharing a card featuring the new Floating By set.

For my card, I used pattern paper from the BEE Kind Paper Pad and cut with Stitched Rectangle Set 1 Dies for the background layering pieces. I cut Street Light Cardstock with Concave Rectangles Dies as a backdrop for these super cute critters balloons from the new Floating By stamp set (and coordinating dies). There are several types of Scratch-Off products to help create a fun, interactive element to your cards to reveal a sentiment or stamped image! I used the gold Scratch-Off Sticker Sheet and stamped the balloon image, cut it out and placed it over the base image. I then stamped the "scratch off" sentiment on top - the sentiment is also found in the Floating By stamp set.

To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment from the set on aqua cardstock then cut it out with the Top Note Dies (currently on sale!) I then added a few Pandamonium Enamel Dots.

Be sure to visit the website tomorrow to see the full release!

Better Together

It IS better when we're together with family and friends!   This last year has been difficult with people being unable to get together and visit.  Even us introverts are starting to miss being around people!  The one thing we do know is that we are better together and we figure out ways to connect.

Reverse Confetti and Hero Arts recent collaboration on the Better Together set just goes to show how incredible things can happen when we team up towards a common interest.

Join the Reverse Confetti & Hero Arts hop to get all the details on this fabulous set and to be inspired by the incredible creations from the Design Teams!  We are giving away $50 gift cards to TWO lucky winners, drawn from comments left across the blog hop. One gift code will be to the Hero Arts store, and the other to Reverse Confetti. Comment on the hop by Thursday, February 25th at 11:59pm pst. The more blogs you leave comments on, the more chances to win!

For my card, I cut Premier Polar White cardstock with the Squared Off Cover Panel and adhered it to the card base.  This sweet elephant and mouse from the Coffee & You set are showing off the delightful flowers created with the Better Together set!  To finish, I gold embossed one of the sentiments in this new set on to Dark Roast cardstock.

New From Kat Scrappiness!

We're so excited!!   Kat Scrappiness has released several new MINI SLIMLINE DIES plus an adorable new stamp set featuring our sweet little Quokka friend!

My first card features the new Scallop Mini Slimline die that I used as a frame for my shaker card.  After adhering a piece of acetate to the back of the frame and lined it with thin double sided foam, I added the Hearts O' Plenty sequins and Love Heart clay embellishments before 'enclosing' the opening with a piece of light pink cardstock.  I adhered the shaker to the card base after layering a pattern paper to the base.

I then used the new Wonky Mini Slimline die to cut the center piece and stamped on the of sentiments from the new Quokka Valentine Stamp Set and I added one of the Quokka images from the set here as well.  She's holding one of the Love Heart clay embellishments, too!

For my next card, I layered a pattern paper to the card base then cut red cardstock with one of the new Wonky Mini Slimline dies and black cardstock with the new Diamond Wood Frame Mini Slimline dies.  For the focal point, I used the Happy Valentine's Day Sentiment with Shadow dies.  The images are a couple more included in the Quokka Valentine Stamp Set.

2020...OMG

Happy New Year's Eve!  There's certainly a lot to reflect on as this year (finally) ends.  All I can say about 2020 is "OMG.  Wow. Just Wow"!  It was one for the history books without a doubt.

On the flip side, this year's Reverse Confetti releases also have me saying "OMG.  Wow. Just Wow" because they have been fabulous, amazing and wonderful!!  My card today depicts just a very few of my fave critters released this year from these sets (left to right): Corgi Cuties, Party Pals, Yuletide Mice and Crafty Critters.  What have your favorite sets been?

Since this is the last post for the year, I thought I'd also share with you some of my favorite cards I made this year!

Wishing you and yours a blessed, hope-filled and loving New Year!
