Better Together

It IS better when we're together with family and friends!   This last year has been difficult with people being unable to get together and visit.  Even us introverts are starting to miss being around people!  The one thing we do know is that we are better together and we figure out ways to connect.

Reverse Confetti and Hero Arts recent collaboration on the Better Together set just goes to show how incredible things can happen when we team up towards a common interest.

Join the Reverse Confetti & Hero Arts hop to get all the details on this fabulous set and to be inspired by the incredible creations from the Design Teams!  We are giving away $50 gift cards to TWO lucky winners, drawn from comments left across the blog hop. One gift code will be to the Hero Arts store, and the other to Reverse Confetti. Comment on the hop by Thursday, February 25th at 11:59pm pst. The more blogs you leave comments on, the more chances to win!

For my card, I cut Premier Polar White cardstock with the Squared Off Cover Panel and adhered it to the card base.  This sweet elephant and mouse from the Coffee & You set are showing off the delightful flowers created with the Better Together set!  To finish, I gold embossed one of the sentiments in this new set on to Dark Roast cardstock.

Reverse Confetti & Hero Arts Collaboration

In celebration of the stamp industry as well as the Hero Arts 45th Anniversary, Hero Arts and Reverse Confetti have created a Partners collaborative stamp set to honor stamping and papercrafting.

Both have a passion for equality and equity and proceeds from this stamp set will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign. We hope that this stamp set will inspire you to create beautiful cards for those that you care for and love.

We're thrilled to be sharing our projects created with this very special set and hope you'll hop along to see them all!

For my card, I cut Midnight cardstock to layer on the card base.  I gold embossed one of the sentiments from the set on the bottom.  For the top half, I cut Piggy Pink cardstock using the largest die in the Pierced Round Top Layers die set.  I love this fun, unique Better Together set!  The combinations for creating these  images is limitless!

In honor of the 'hop', I'm sharing my FIRST, favorite Sweet 'n Sassy coffee/tea-themed set that I used when I guest designed for Sweet 'n Sassy.  I couldn't resist sharing this darling little bunny from the Tea 4 Two set!

I created a simple gatefold card featuring the little teacup bunny image.  I then placed a few of the other images - the sunflower and ladybugs - to the inside corner of the card which I layered with glossy glaze.

I'm so excited to share my card featuring some of my new Sweet 'n Sassy coffee/tea themed faves!!

To start, I blended several colors of distress oxide onto the slimline card base.  I  stamped the corners of the card using one of the stamps in the Textured Tiles #9 stamp set and then added one of the sentiments from the Coffee Talk set to the base.

I LOVE THESE CUPS from the I Like Big Cups set!!  They are big, bold and absolutely perfect for paper piecing which is one of my favorite techniques!  I used pattern papers from Carta Bella Home Again 6x6 pad which are beautiful designs.  To finish, I added these cute Kat Scrappiness Coffee Bean embellishments.

I really do love my coffee...it's like a rainbow in a cup!

For my next card, I created a watercolor rainbow background with distressed oxide inks.  I stamped the coffee stain images using one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles #9 set then stamped, cut and colored these super cute cups from the Coffee Talk set.  To finish, I stamped one of the fun sentiments from the Coffee Talk set.

Be sure to hop along and leave a comment along the way as you enjoy all the wonderful projects both the CLC and Sweet 'n Sassy Design Teams are sharing!

For my first card, I layered mustard cardstock onto the card base. I used one EZ-Light unit.  I adhered one of the light strings to the back of the candle, popped up the candle and adhered it to the jar, then adhered the other two light strings to the back of the jar image which is also popped up.  (The jar and candle images are from Pink & Main's Pretty Jars set.)

After arranging the jar/candle to the back of the pattern paper so it was in the center of the cut out circle, I adhered the two images to the back of the pattern paper.  Then, I adhered the light pack to the back of the pattern paper and attached the pattern paper/images to the card base.  To finish, I added these beautiful sunflowers and sentiment from the Sunny Greetings set.

These little light packs are super easy to add to your cards by taping down the wires of lights and mechanism where you want them.   Hope my instructions above made sense, but if not, you can find visual instructions from Pear Blossom HERE.

For my second card, I made a lighted, starry sky slimline!

After creating a distressed oxide background applied with the Ergonomic Blending Brush, I cut out stars at the top.  This adorable little bear is from the new Happy Fall set; the diecut words were made with the Seasons Greetings word dies.

I simply added the EZ-Lights to the back of the card front and covered it over with yellow cardstock.  Look how the card comes to life when the EZ-Light button is pressed...

Hope you'll brighten up someone's day by including EZ-Light to their card.  You'll have so much fun creating it!

For my first card, I created a serene winter scene.  I cut a green pattern paper with one of the Cross Stitched Nesting Slimline dies.  The scene was created by first using one of the Embossed Edge Nesting Slimline dies to cut light blue cardstock.

The image diecuts were made with the Crafter's Essentials Winter Dies and I used the following WOW Embossing Powders:

Snow slopes:  White Puff Powder

This card was so fun to put together!  I cut bright red cardstock using one of the Zig Zag Nesting Slimline dies and green pattern paper with one of the Cross Stitched Nesting Slimline dies.

For the Christmas ornaments, I used theWOW Embossing Powders listed below - and added some Rich Gold Regular Powder .  I added black twine to the circles and staggered the ornaments and finished them with black twine bows and jingle bells.

I then added this adorable gnome from the Christmas Gnome set.
