Saturday Coffee Cafe - Fall-ing For Coffee

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  I'm so glad you stopped in today to see what's brewin'...

I love fall colors and creating fall cards...actually the next few months is my FAVORITE card-making season!

I used several new Pink & Main goodies today!  The coffee bean background was created using one of the Foilables panels in the Coffee Lovers Foilables Kit with Pebbles Bronze CheerFoil and ran them through the Mini Minc Foiling Machine (this background used the negative of the foil and used with one of the Garden Color Toner Sheets then ran through the Mini Minc Foiling Machine).

These adorable to-go cups are from the new Thanks a Latte stamp set and coordinating dies.  The sentiment is from the new Autumn Greetings Dies.

Happy Fall Y'all

Hey, Crafty Friends - are you excited that Fall is right around the corner!  Kathy here sharing my last card as a Gerda Steiner Designs Guest Designer - it's been SO much fun and am so grateful to have had this opportunity to highlight some fabulous goodies from Gerda Steiner Designs!!

For my card, I first layered dark brown cardstock to the card base.  I then layered several different fall-themed pattern papers to the dark brown cardstock base.  Using a pierced circle die, I cut orange cardstock for a backdrop to the copic colored images.

This darling squirrel and branches/leaves images from the HAPPY FALL stamp set were Copic colored and fussy cut then popped up onto the card.  The sentiment, also from this set, was stamped onto yellow cardstock and cut with a mini banner die then popped up onto the card.

Here's to a blessed, happy Fall season to all!

I'm Nuts About You

Who's ready for fall?!  Kathy here sharing one of my first fall cards featuring the ADORABLE new, NUTS ABOUT YOU stamp set!

While summer is one of my favorite seasons, I'm looking forward to cooler weather and getting out my light sweaters.  Not to mention, I love fall colors!

For my card, I layered dark brown cardstock onto the card base.  I took strips of four different fall pattern papers and glued them together.  I then took orange cardstock, die cut a circle opening and then adhered the strips of pattern paper behind the opening before adhering the entire orange cardstock piece to the dark brown cardstock.

Is this little guy the cutest or what?!  Our little squirrel friend, acorns and sentiment are from the new NUTS ABOUT YOU stamp set.  The images were copic colored, fussy cut and popped up onto the card.  The sentiment was gold heat embossed onto a strip of  brown cardstock then placed in the center of the die cut circle opening; tucking in the ends.  To finish, I added yellow glitter enamel dots.

Fall is Coming!

I love the colors of Fall and am looking forward to cooler days, colorful leaves and wearing sweaters! Pink & Main's newest release is filled with warm and wonderful Fall goodies! I'm sharing two projects today featuring some of the newest products...

For my first card, I created a gate fold window card (at least that's what I'm calling it - lol). I created a base taking a 10.5" x 5.5" piece of white cardstock and scoring at 4.25" and 8.5". I layered a plaid pattern from the Year Round Plaid paper pad on the front and inside/front of card then cut out a circle using one of the Layered Circles Dies. I continued to layer the panels with cardstock (center panel) which I also stamped the pumpkin image using a light colored ink and sentiment, Year Round Plaid pattern paper (right/inside side panel) and Year Round Dots & Stripes pattern paper (right/outside panel). Using one of the Stitched Circle dies, I cut Coffee Shop cardstock, gold embossed the sentiment and attached to the back panel making sure it lined up with the opening on the front.

The images are from the new Happy Harvest stamp set with coordinating die and Fall Mice with coordinating dies. The pumpkin image is adhered to the front of the card at the bottom of the circle opening. I added the little mouse image to the circle on the back panel so when the card is closed, it appears he is in the 'pumpkin patch'.

 Now for my second card...

Snow globes are not just for the winter time! The new Fall Snow Globe Scenes set completes the seasonal Snow Globe Scene collection. Use the images with the Empty Snow Globe stamps and Dies or on their own - either way the images are SUPER cute!

For my card, I used one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies Set #1 to cut a pattern in the Pumpkin Season paper pad and adhered to the card base. As a backdrop to the snow globe, Coffee Shop cardstock was cut one of the Stitched Circle Dies. I created a shaker element using Empty Snow Globe stamps and coordinating dies, placing this adorable bear/pumpkin image from the Fall Snow Globe Scenes set. The sentiment is also from this stamp set.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Hello Fall

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!  I'm so glad you stopped in today to see what's brewin'!

Fall is here!  The temps are cooler, the leaves have just started to change and I'm pulling out my sweaters!  I know a lot of people are ready for pumpkin spice lattes - I'm an eggnog latte girl myself - which is the perfect way to say Hello Fall!

For my card, I used several goodies from Lawn Fawn!  I layered dark brown cardstock and wood grain pattern paper onto the card base.  I LOVE the new Lovely Latte die!  I paper pieced the one in the front with a design from the Perfectly Plaid Fall Petite paper pad I found in my stash and cardstock on the other two.  I added the leaves image from the Jump For Joy set which I copic colored.  The 'hello' was cut from coordinating cardstock with the Oliver's Stitched ABC dies.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Autumn Greetings

Happy Saturday and welcome to the cafe!  I'm so glad you decided to stop in today to see what's brewin'...

It's hard to comprehend that it's October already!  Part of it may be because it's still in the high 70's here, not quite sweater weather, but it'll be here soon enough.  My card, however, makes me think of there being a chill in the air and I can almost smell that sweet warm cider!

For my card, I used several wonderful items from Reverse Confetti!  The background was created with two of my fave dies: Plaid Lines Small and Plaid Lines Big.  The fun images and greeting are from the new Autumn Apple Cider set!   It may not be coffee in my cup today, but hot cider counts, right?

For my card, I layered a fall plaid pattern paper to the card base.  To create the shaker panel, I cut dark brown cardstock using the Slimline Diamond and Wood Grain Die and adhered a sheet of Slimline Acetate to the back.  I then lined the back of the frame with foam tape and filled the center with different Kat Scrappiness sprinkles and sequins (see thumbnails below).  I then 'sealed' the panel with pattern paper cut with one of the Slimline Embossed Edge Dies and adhered the shaker panel to the card.

I then colored this beautiful image from the Ink on 3 Pumpkin Patch set using the new Atelier Inks - Artist Grade Fusion Ink Pads!  They are wonderful to  watercolor with and keep a deep, rich color!  They can be blended together to create different colors and are water-reactive too!!  I used Kat Scrappiness Thank You with Shadow die; making the 'shadow' out of vellum then added the small sentiment from the Ink on 3 Pumpkin Patch set.
