My Little Chickadee

How sweet are these little chickadees?!! Pink & Main's newest Stamp/Die of the Month is perfect for Spring, showers and so much more! Become a subscriber for a new stamp or stamp/die set each month!

For my card, I used pattern paper from the Home Sweet Home paper pad. These adorable images are from the Stamp/Die of the Month: Hey, Chickie. I paper pieced both umbrellas which I love how they pop and give a little texture to the card. The sentiment, also from the set, was simply stamped on cardstock. To finish, I added several Clear Glitter Enamel Dots which look like raindrops to me.

Unicorn Wishes

Rainbows and unicorns…wouldn't that be a sweet place?! That's exactly what it was like in my craft room playing with several NEW goodies from the recent Pink & Main release!

For my card, I used the new Diagonal Cover dies to first cut from silvery cardstock in the Holographic Cardstock Set 1. I then cut an Adhesive Sheet using the Diagonal Cover, and used the 'center' strips to apply flock to each strip and adhere it to the frame die cut. I used several new Flock colors (Cotton Tail, Overcast, Cotton Candy, Fuzzy Mittens, Cashmere, Teddy Bear and Grandpa's Slippers).

These adorable, whimsical unicorns and sentiment are from the new Unicorn Wishes Stamps and Dies.

Pink & Main and Pear Blossom - Light Up Your Life

What a special treat!  Pink & Main and Pear Blossom Press have collaborated for a very special blog hop!  If you haven't tried Pear Blossom Press EZ-Light yet, we're going to 'enlighten' you today!!

For my first card, I layered mustard cardstock onto the card base. I used one EZ-Light unit.  I adhered one of the light strings to the back of the candle, popped up the candle and adhered it to the jar, then adhered the other two light strings to the back of the jar image which is also popped up.  (The jar and candle images are from Pink & Main's Pretty Jars set.)

After arranging the jar/candle to the back of the pattern paper so it was in the center of the cut out circle, I adhered the two images to the back of the pattern paper.  Then, I adhered the light pack to the back of the pattern paper and attached the pattern paper/images to the card base.  To finish, I added these beautiful sunflowers and sentiment from the Sunny Greetings set.

These little light packs are super easy to add to your cards by taping down the wires of lights and mechanism where you want them.   Hope my instructions above made sense, but if not, you can find visual instructions from Pear Blossom HERE.

For my second card, I made a lighted, starry sky slimline!

After creating a distressed oxide background applied with the Ergonomic Blending Brush, I cut out stars at the top.  This adorable little bear is from the new Happy Fall set; the diecut words were made with the Seasons Greetings word dies.

I simply added the EZ-Lights to the back of the card front and covered it over with yellow cardstock.  Look how the card comes to life when the EZ-Light button is pressed...

Hope you'll brighten up someone's day by including EZ-Light to their card.  You'll have so much fun creating it!

Rose Garden Thanks

Hey, Pink & Main Fans!  Hope you're enjoying the remainder of summer and have been able to 'stop and smell the flowers'!

For my card, I used the Memaw's Roses Stencil with the new Mini Ergonomic Brush to blend distress oxide inks.  Isn't this stencil gorgeous?!!  Since I wanted to show off the background, I went for a simple sentiment for the center which was created with the Thanks Dies.  To finish, I added a few Rose Gold Glossy Dots.

Building My Card Stash

There are also two types of cards I find lacking in my stash.  One are birthday cards because those are needed the most and the other are Sympathy cards because I tend not to make them very often (thankfully).

My first card is a birthday card.  I used the new Layering Circle Dies to create a frame for a couple of images in the new Beach Unicorn set.  I then stamped and colored the fern leaves and placed them in the bottom corner and added one of the sentiments from the set.

For my second card, I created a quick and easy sympathy card.  I blended the background with distress inks using the wonderful Ergonomic Blending Brush then spritzed with water.  I used the new Fancy Floral Cover Die to cut black cardstock and adhered to the card base.  The sentiment is from the Forever in My Heart set and cut with one of the Sentiment Strip dies.  To finish, I added a few sequins.

Sending a Truckload of Fun

The Pink & Main Seasonal Truck stamp set (and coordinating dies) is not only perfect for creating cards for the upcoming seasons, it's also incredibly cute!!

Load up the pickup with everything you need for some summer fun!  I used papers from the new Sunshine & Smiles paper pad for the background and to paper piece the pickup truck.

I'll admit it...I love pickup images especially the classic Christmas look!  I cut bright green cardstock with one of the Stitched Rectangle dies then a pattern from the Be Merry paper pad cut with one of the new Layering Rectangles A2 Dies.  I copic colored the Christmas tree and paper pieced the truck with a different Be Merry pattern paper.

It may seem too early for Halloween, but it'll be here before we know it.  I love this sweet truckload of candy corn with the spider on it (although in reality, I don't care for either candy corn or spiders - lol!)  For the background layers, I cut orange and yellow cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle dies then a pattern from the Sweater Weather paper pad.  I paper pieced the red truck.

And lastly, a truck bringing Fall/Thanksgiving greeting!  Using papers from the Sweater Weather paper pad, I cut one pattern with Stitched Rectangle dies and paper pieced the truck.  For the framed circle, I used the new Layering Circle Dies by cutting kraft cardstock with two of the dies together then a separate circle cut from lime green cardstock.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Wake Up!

Good morning!  Welcome to the cafe...I'm so glad you decided to stop by!  Grab a cup of your favorite brew and take a look at what's being served up today...

The best part of my morning is that first sip of coffee...it's truly magical!  I'm one of those folks who drinks coffee all day long.  No, it doesn't keep me up (I'm a natural night owl), but it does wake me up in the morning!

My card features a gorgeous set by Miss Ink Stamps called Brewtiful! It was so fun coloring these lovely images.  I place the images on top of a background created with Reverse Confetti's Sunburst Cover panel that I watercolored with distress inks.

You're a Stand Out!

Hey, Pink & Main fans!  I've never been one to 'follow the crowd' so this sentiment really speaks to me!  It's perfect for those of us who embrace our uniqueness :)

For my card, I layered black cardstock onto the card base.  After cutting white cardstock with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies (Set 1), I used the new Meerkats set to stamp the image in black.

To do the 'highlight stamping technique', I stamped the image again on a separate piece of paper and cut part of it out with one of the Stitched Circle dies, colored just that circle cut out, then layered it on top of a slightly wider diecut circle.  Taking the two layered circles, I popped them up over approximately the same image appears in the stamped image on the card base.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment at the top of the card.

Paper Smooches COLOR Challenge

Are you ready to have some fun?!  Today starts a new Paper Smooches Challenge and the challenge this time around is a color challenge.  Choose at least three colors you see here...

Hope you'll play along and have a chance for great prizes!! This challenge runs from February 15-28 and winners will be announced on the Paper Smooches blog on March 1.  Three winners will be chosen: one winner will receive a prize package, one winner will receive a $25 Paper Smooches gift certificate and one winner will be randomly selected to win a $5 gift certificate!

For my card, I used a design from the Rainbow Sherbet paper pad for the background.  I cut black cardstock using the Fab Frames Dies. The beautiful flower images are from the Rosy Posy set which I paper pieced using designs from the Rainbow Sherbet paper pad.  To finish, I cut deep rose cardstock with the the Thanks 2 Word die.

Looking forward to seeing YOUR creation in the challenge gallery!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Purrfect Brew

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  There are some 'special guests' here today so come on in and grab a purrr-fect cup of brew!

I've loved this darling stamp from Newton's Nook called Caffeinated Cats!  The little kitties are so cute peeking out of the cups!

Instead of coloring the entire image, I used the highlight stamping technique.  I stamped the entire image on white cardstock as the background then stamped it on a die cut circle.  I colored the images on the circle and layered it on top of the background matching up the images.

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps: I Believe In You

Those four little words, 'I believe in you', can move mountains!  To know that someone believes in you and is in your corner is transforming...it gives you wings to fly!

Being a guest designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month feels a little like that :) I'm humbled the team believed in me to give me this opportunity to share projects created with their lovely products!

For my card, I white embossed one of the dragonfly images in the Dragonfly Dreams set.  Then, I blended multiple colored distressed oxide inks. To finish, I stamped the sentiment and added a few clear glossy dots.

Check out the new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Release and this terrific bundle deal!
