To all my wonderful family and friends...You make life more beautiful!!  And these wonderful products from Dare 2B Artzy help create super easy, beautiful creations!

For my card, I layered a Countryside Floral pattern paper on the front/card base.  I then scored the top corner, folded it down and layered that section with the pattern paper and cardstock.  Did you know that many of the images found in Dare 2B Artzy's pattern paper can be cut out using the coordinating die sets that also go with the stamp set?  That's how I cut out these images for my card!

Just Plane Awesome

 

Wheee!  Our favorite, playful Lawn Fawn mice are back - this time having all sorts of fun with paper airplanes.  It's just "plane" awesome to create with them!

 

 Here's how I created my card...

 

1.  I layered two different Lawn Fawn pattern papers onto the card base.

 

2.  The little mice and paper airplanes are from the Lawn Fawn Just Plane Awesome stamp set - which are colored with Copic Sketch Markers (see below for colors I used) - and cut out with the Lawn Fawn Just Plane Awesome Dies. 

 

3.  Using the Lawn Fawn You're Just My Type stamp set, I paper pieced the desk image and fussy cut.

 

4.  The framed sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Love Poems stamp set.

 

5.  I added a few other little images from other Lawn Fawn sets, too.  The scissors are from the Sew Very Nice stamp set and the plant, cup of tools and sitting mouse are from the Lawn Fawn Virtual Friends Add-on stamp set.

 

 

6.  I arranged all the images on my card to where I wanted them, then popped them up with Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Strips to adhere them to the card. 

 

7.  Lastly, I stamped the 'wheee' sentiment on to the card which is found in the Lawn Fawn Just Plane Awesome stamp set

 

Creating scenes with Lawn Fawn stamps/dies is so FUN and I love how I can use my imagination and get really creative by coordinating images and sentiments from different Lawn Fawn sets, too!!

Sometimes there are no words.  It could be a big or small situation that a friend or family member is experiencing which you want to help them through.  In those times, the best comfort may be to just let them know you're there for them.

 

 For my card, I cut Premier Polar White cardstock with the new Along The Dotted Lines Cover Panel then sprinkled with some bronze paint.  I gold embossed this sentiment from the Mixed Messages set onto Dark Roast cardstock.  These pretty images are from the Lily of the Valley stamp set and coordinating dies.

Roll With It

 

Sometimes you just gotta roll with it! I think I need to keep this card on my desk to remind me of that because, at times, it can be a challenge :)

For my card, I created a watercolor background and splattered some black pain. I cut dark brown cardstock with one of the Stitched Circle Dies and let it go off the card a bit and trimmed it down. These adorable (and yummy) images and sentiment are from the new Roll With It stamps and coordinating dies.

You Are Beautiful

Beauty is all around us...even during the most challenging of times.  It's there if we look for it.  I don't venture very far these days and sometimes the farthest I go is my backyard, yet I find beauty and experience peace there - which I seem to be needing more and more these days.  My card is a reminder to find something beautiful every day.

For my card, I layered Dark Roast cardstock onto the card base then a pattern from the Cue The Confetti Paper Pad.  I cut Sand cardstock using the Tall Stripe Panel die and brushed with Dark Roast ink to create a 'shutter' trellis.  Speaking of beautiful...the new Sketched Florals are that and more!  I love the delicate flowers, leaves and sentiments in this set!

Forever In My Heart

I can't recall what I did yesterday, but eighteen years ago today at approx. 9 am, I know exactly where I was.  I came out of our weekly Tuesday operations meeting and the office was eerily quiet.  It wasn't long before someone said, "a plane hit the World Trade Center".   With shock and disbelief, I called my mom to see if she heard anything from our family in NY - three of my cousins worked a block from there (thank God, they were safe. However, one of my cousins, a police officer, passed away last year from lung problems stemming from 9/11). 

I will forever in my heart pray for and remember... those who lost their lives that day - and since; the strength, tenacity and incredible courage of the NYFD, NYPD, and my fellow New Yorkers; the resilience of those at the Pentagon; and the ultimate sacrifice and incredible bravery of the passengers and crew of Flight 93.  Never forget.

For my card, I first layered a strip of pattern paper from the Summer Splash paper pad and stamped a sentiment from the Forever In My Heart set.  I then cut purple cardstock using one of the Reverse Rectangles Dies to form a frame.  

 The flowers and jar are from the Pretty Jars set and the sentiment is from Forever In My Heart cut with one of the Sentiment Strip dies.

While nothing will make the events of 9/11 'better', there were extraordinary heroics and a 'coming together' for the good of many that day and in the days following. May we all project positive vibes for peace today and in the future.

You've Got This!

My niece is heading off to college this week!  I remember when my daughter left for college and all those emotions we felt...excitement, anxiety, proud, thrilled and, yes, a little scared.  I'm certain after she gets settled in, she'll begin to enjoy one of the most memorable adventures of her life...I wish I could go with her :)

For my card, I first cut white cardstock using one of the Stitched Rectangle Set 1 dies and blended bright ink using the Four Point Stars stencil.  Then, I added a strip of rainbow paper from the new Summer Splash paper pad.  The adorable image is from the Travel Buddy stamp set and coordinating dies.

This month's release is so awesome!  I adore all the fantastic sentiments and the Sentiment Banner Dies are absolutely perfect...creating and adding sentiments to projects has never been easier!!  I used the Going Places stamp set and Sentiment Banner Dies here.
