Hippity Hoppity

Hippity, hoppity Easter is on it's way - which means Spring is too!!  Kat Scrappiness has so many fresh and festive goodies for Spring and Easter which makes crafting even more fun!

My first card is a slimline shaker.  After layering a pretty pattern paper to my card base, I created a shaker element using the new Slimline Film Strip Border dies as the frame, lined the back and in between strips with foam tape, then added these sprinkles/sequins before enclosing the opening:  Pastel Sprinkles, Light Pink Confetti, Brown Confetti, Soft Yellow Confetti and Mint Confetti.  Then, I cut colored cardstock with the smaller die in the Stitched Easter Bunny Outline Dies set and gave each a cute white tail using the White Bunny Tails.  To finish, I added the word diecuts using the Brush Script Happy Easter Word Dies.

My next card was super simple to create!

I used the new Happy Easter Bunny stamp as my focal point and colored in his ears and feet - so cute!  For the outer frame, I cut a soft pink cardstock with the Mini Slimline Wonky Die and popped it up over the stamped image piece.  I cut clouds from the dies found in the Slimline Rainbow Die set and cut two different colors of green cardstock using the Slimline Grass Border die for the bottom.

Jingle All The Way

Time to get your jingle on!  With less than two months til Christmas, my craft room looks more like Santa's workshop as I've been creating lots of holiday cards.  How 'bout you?!

For my card, I layered a pattern from the A Cozy Christmas slimline paper pad onto the card base cut with one of the Embossed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies.  I then cut white cardstock with one of the new Fancy Scallop Nesting Slimline Dies to frame another pattern from the paper pad which was also cut with one of the Embossed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies.

These fun words are from the Jingle All Way Brush Script word dies that I cut out of shiny silver and popped up at the top of the card.  Then, I strung some baker's twine adhering these super cute Multi-Colored Jingle Bells.  The card just wouldn't be complete without this darling Santa gnome from the Christmas Gnome set!

Sweet Holiday Treats

This may not be the best time to start a diet with all the holiday treats around the corner, but I did :)  At least my card, filled with yummy holiday sweet treats is calorie free!

For my slimline card, I used a dark brown card base and lined it with a piece of white cardstock.  I then cut red cardstock using one of the Slimline Cross Stitched Nesting dies and also a design from the A Cozy Christmas for the center.  Using different sizes from the Never Ending Circle dies, I cut openings in the main panel to create shaker three windows.  The new Sprinkles at Kat Scrappiness are SO fun and festive!  I used Merry & Bright, Jolly Sweet and Christmas Cocoa Sprinkles for my shakers.  And who can resist these adorable little bakers?!  They are from Lawn Fawn's A Creature Was Stirring set.

Haunted Halloween

I'm not big on scary things, but this card is just 'too cute to spook'!  Kat Scrappiness has so many wonderful Halloween-themed goodies!

For my slimline card, I layered a fun, Halloween colored pattern paper to the card base.  To create the shaker, I cut lime green cardstock using the new Chevron Slimline Die, adhered slimline acetate to the back, filled with new Bewitched Sprinkles plus Purple Candy and Lime Green Confetti Sprinkles and enclosed the back with orange cardstock and then adhered all of it to the card base.

The adorable haunted house, cute ghosts and 'boo' are all from Lawn Fawn.

Hello Sunshine

I do love Fall's beautiful colors and it's sweater weather!  Not to mention it's time for apple picking, a pumpkin patch visit and watching the leaves change!

You'll 'Fall' in love with all of the beautiful new slimline dies, slimline envelopes, slimline acetate and sprinkles/sequins at Kat Scrappiness!

For my slimline card, I used the new Wood Grain Framed Diamond Wire Slimline Die to cut chocolate brown cardstock.  To create the shaker, I then adhered slimline acetate to the back of the Wood Grain Framed Diamond Wire Slimline diecut, added Aww-tumn Sequin Remix and Red Cherry Blossom Sprinkles and covered the back with wood grain pattern paper.  I then adhered it all to the card base.

These sweet sunflowers, kitty and sentiment are all from Newton's Nook.

Trick or Treat Sweets

We love having trick or treaters come to get candy on Halloween!  It's so fun to see their costumes -- some are so creative!  Hoping this year we'll still have Trick or Treat, but in the meantime, I created a slimline card will little bags filled with treats!

Stop by the Kat Scrappiness blog for lots of inspiration and a chance to WIN the new dies being released today!

For my card, I first layered a fun Halloween pattern paper.  I then used two of the new Neverending Slimline Dies to create a frame.  To make each of the treat bags, I took one each of the Slimline Zig Zag Dies and Neverending Slimline Dies, taped them together and ran both of them at the ends through the Big Shot using different cardstock colors.
After trimming them to equal sizes, I placed acetate behind the front, zig zag cutout, filled them with several new Halloween-themed sprinkles (see thumbnails at the end of the post) and covered the back with other Halloween pattern  paper.
For the trim, I cut glittery silver cardstock with one of the Slimline Neverending dies and cut a strip to fit the top of the bags.  I added baker's twine to the the top of the treat bags and adhered them to the card.  To finish, I added the white embossed sentiments.

For The Love of Books

I love reading and browsing around a bookstore!  I seem to go in spurts where I read several books by the same author in a matter of days and then get distracted by other things and can't find the time. But I really enjoy getting 'lost' in a book's story and going on an adventure!  Maybe during this 'stay at home' time, you've found some free time to get 'lost' in a good book.

For my card, I coupled these fabulous Kat Scrappiness Stitched Heart Tags Dies with the adorable Newton's Book Club stamp set. The Kat Scrappiness Stitched Heart Tags Dies contains two different sized dies, both of which can be made into shakers!

I used the larger die as my card's layered base and used several Kat Scrappiness Embellishments to create a shaker element in the heart-shaped opening.  I'm giving you a sneak peek of two new sprinkles that are coming which I used:  Happy Kitty and Brown Paw Prints!  I couldn't resist using these resin embellishments in the heart shaker...they were perfect for this project and are SO cute!!  I also included Red Heart Sprinkles and Clear Hollow Heart Confetti sequins in the shaker mix. With the smaller die, I created a little shaker bookmark!

All Shook Up

Hey, Friends! Today I'm sharing a card that has me 'all shook up'!  The Kat Scrappiness Acetate & Shaker Card Kits and fabulous assortment of Sprinkles and sequin mixes create THE most adorable cards in a matter of minutes!

For my card, I first layered Silver Craft Perfect Mirror Cardstock and a heart pattern paper to the card base.  Using the Large Heart Shaker Card Kit, I silver embossed the outside of the heart, adhered the acetate that comes in the kit and filled with Sweethearts, Teal Heart, Hot Pink Heart and Dark Blue Heart Sprinkles.  I then covered the back with Silver Craft Perfect Mirror Cardstock, cut to the heart shape.

To finish, I used the I Love You dies cut from cardstock, placing the 'love' over the shaker and the 'you' at the bottom.

Check out the Acetate & Shaker Card Kits!  I guarantee you'll get 'all shook up' with how fun and easy they are to put together!!
