Pixi Dust Designs Sneak Peek!

Sweet Christmas Gift Bags

 

 

One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is wrap gifts!!  It doesn't matter what the gift is...big or small...fun wrapping makes the gift just that more special!

I created these cute little gift bags that are super easy to make by taking two square pieces of pattern paper or cardstock, score each side and cut out two corners.  Fold the top forward and the bottom/sides towards the back then glue the two pieces together which forms a box.  Add a paper or ribbon handle and voila!

 

For the first box, I used one 4x4 square of pattern paper from Winter Solstice and one of Aqua cardstock (for the back); scoring 1/2" all around.  I cut a strip of Salsa cardstock for the handle and glued it to the insides of the box.  To decorate the front, I cut Iced Aqua cardstock with the Fa La La Circle die and placed these adorable images from the Deerly set.

I made the second box a little bigger using a piece of 6x6 pattern paper from Sweet Stripes paper pad and one of Salsa cardstock; scoring 1" around.  For the backdrop, I used the Stitched Squares dies cutting the frame part from shiny gold cardstock and then Midnight cardstock for the center.  The sweet deer and star banner are from the Deerly set; the tree is from Home For The Holidays. I used a tinsel wire ribbon for the handle.

Playful and Pretty Christmas

 

 Divinity Designs November Release includes lots of new, unique goodies that create both pretty AND playful holiday cards, gifts and more!

Gifts of Joy

 One of my favorite holiday activities is wrapping!  A pretty wrapping and tag makes any gift extra special and shows the recipient you put a lot of love into their gift!

The new Wreath of Joy Confetti Cuts makes a perfect tag to dress up packages, gift bags and more.  It's also SO much fun to put together because the color and paper combinations you can make are endless!

For the gift, I took kraft wrapping paper and stamped images from the beautiful Holiday Bough stamp set.  Using the Wreath of Joy Confetti Cuts, I created the tag with shiny gold, red glitter and Avocado cardstock and tied it to the gift with red/white baker's twine.

For another tag, I cut Midnight cardstock using the Inside Scallop Circle Tag for the tag base.  I then used the Wreath of Joy Confetti Cuts to cut Avocado, Salsa, shiny gold and glittery gold cardstock to create the pretty word and adhered it to the tag base.

Crafty Critters Valentine

Hey, Crafty Friends!  Valentine's Day is right around the corner and the perfect time for creating treats for those I love and care about.

These sweet treat bags are great for all your crafty friends!  Each one was made by cutting a design from the new Sweet As Sugar paper pad using the Scalloped Bag & Tags Creator die.  All images are from one of my favorite sets from the January release:  Crafty Critters!

For the first two, I cut Rose and Salsa cardstock respectively using the Love Note dies as a backdrop for the adorable critters.

The last treat bag has an acetate window.  I cut Dark Roast cardstock with the Scalloped Bag & Tag Creator dies for the back piece so the color shows through and on the front, used the square die to make the window.

I could fill these cute bags with candy treats, but since these are for my crafty friends, I'll fill them with a few crafty items such as a glue pen, paint or blending brush, scissors...maybe some washi tape!  What would you fill them with?

Warm Hugs

During the holidays, I'm always looking for quick treat gifts for friends, co-workers, neighbors and others.  This sweet hot cocoa pocket card is very simple to make.  Taking an A2 card base of CLOUD WHITE cardstock (with fold on the left), I made an angle cart on the front then cut a pattern paper from the WINTER WONDERLAND paper pad slightly smaller to layer.  On the inside, I layered a piece of ROYAL PURPLE cardstock.  Then, I adhered the card together at the bottom and right side. 

The adorable bear is from the BIG BEAR stamp set which I copic colored.  I cut ROYAL PURPLE and silver glitter cardstock using the WARM HUGS Confetti Cuts and offset them.  Adding a packet of hot cocoa and a candy cane put the finishing touches to this tasty treat!

Each month, the Divinity Designs team is challenged to create a project using a color combo.  This month's color challenge was inspired by colors in the 2014 Christmas Collection!

Reverse Confetti I'll Be Gnome For Christmas

Hey, 'Fetti Fans, thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! Are gnomes just the cutest or what?!  Reverse Confetti's HOLIDAY GNOMES are my favorite (yes, I may be a bit biased, but they really are super adorable) and I can't get enough of them!

For the card, I layered STORMY cardstock and a pattern from the THIS & THAT PAPER PAD and adhered them to the CLOUD WHITE cardstock card base.  I cut CLOUD WHITE cardstock with one of the STITCHED SQUARES dies and then the new ALL THE STARS dies for the backdrop.  The houses were white embossed on MIDNIGHT cardstock and the darling images were stamped in MIDNIGHT INK, die cut and copic colored.  To finish, I white embossed one of the sentiments in the HOLIDAY GNOMES set onto MIDNIGHT cardstock.

I'm always in need of tags for holiday gifts and the ROUNDED STITCHED WINDOW die works perfectly!  I first cut STORMY cardstock and fussy cut the outside of the stitched frame then cut SAND cardstock for the center.  I stamped the two snowflakes with MIDNIGHT INK and used a white gel pen to make the dots.  Continuing with the theme I used on my card, I white embossed the house on MIDNIGHT cardstock then stamped, die cut and colored the gnome.  Another sentiment from the HOLIDAY GNOMES set was stamped on SALSA cardstock using MIDNIGHT INK.

Lastly, I created this sweet little gift box using the GOODIE BOX die cut from SAND cardstock adding red/white baker's twine and, again, the house and gnome.

This was such a fun ensemble to create!!  Hope it gives you some ideas for your holiday cards, tags and packaging!
