Saturday Coffee Cafe - Coffee Time

 Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe featured on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog -- so glad to see you!

 This sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs just makes me laugh.  There may be times of the day that are too early for wine, but thankfully for me, it's never too late in the day for coffee!  I used to take a cup to bed at night, but I've gotten much better and usually have my last cup after dinner these days.

 

 I played around with some Distressed & Oxide Inks and created the background that came out looking like wine and coffee colors.  Just love working with those inks because I never know exactly what I'm going to get, yet always pleasantly surprised!

Pineapple Place

  
All good things come to an end...sadly, today is my last post as part of the Drive By Crafts Design Team :(  It's been really fun sharing my little creations with you -- I hope you've enjoyed seeing them!
 
 For my card, I used a new die from Paper Smooches - Pineapple 2 Die.  Isn't this just the cutest!!  My daughter, her best friend and I will be going to our "happy place" for a few days this summer for a girls' long weekend and I can't wait!  Hope our U.S. friends enjoy a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Ahoy, Matey!


 Johnny Depp's character, Captain Jack Sparrow, of the Pirates of the Carribean series sure has changed the way we look at pirates...who every thought they'd be kinda cute and endearing?!  Ok, well, maybe not, but THIS little guy certainly is!

 

 For my card, I started with Neat & Tangled Hexastar stencil sponging some Distressed Ink on the base and a little on the edge of the tag.  I used Neat & Tangled Yo Ho Ho set and dies and chose this adorable pirate to color.

Big Hugs

 Happy Mother's Day!  
Big hugs to all moms, grandmas and like-a-moms out there today!  In my life, I was blessed to have all three of those women who showed me how to be strong, resilient, kind and loving.  I can only hope I'm that kind of example to my daughter :)



 Today my card features Neat & Tangled Better Together stamp set and Big Hugs die.  I added a few luscious layers of pattern paper using Elle's Studio Little Moments (love the entire line of Elle's Studio papers!) and Lawn Fawn Let's Polka in the Meadow (ok, I love all of  Lawn Fawn's petite pattern paper, too!!)



 Hope you can hug your or someone else's mom today!

Down On The Farm

 Although I'm a city girl (born and raised in New York!), I could not resist these darling farm animals from My Favorite Things Farm Friends set!

 I first thought I'd create a card with a little farm scene, but decided on a few other projects.  These stinkin' cute farm animals are the perfect size for paper clip toppers and sweet gift cards, too!  



 I'm also hooked on Elle's Studio pattern papers!  These 6x6 papers really pack a punch with all the beautiful colors and designs!
