Saturday Coffee Cafe - Cookies & Cocoa

Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!  There is a special holiday treat waiting for you today...Cocoa & Cookies!  Years ago, a group of neighbors had an annual Cookie exchange.  We had so much fun enjoying each other's company plus came away with a wonderful assortment of holiday cookies and great recipes to try!

For my card, I began by using Neat & Tangled's FaLaLa stencil with Antique Linen distress ink.  These super yummy images and sentiment are from WPlus9 Cookies & Cocoa set.  I added a bit of glitter and glaze to the marshmallows and cookies.

Here's one of my favorite holiday cookie recipes!  YUM!

Hang On For Fall

Hang on...fall must be coming...eventually!  I spoke too soon the other day when I said it was beginning to feel like fall because today it was almost 80!  It's mid-October.  What gives?!  Well, these little guys are doing their part to bring on a bit of fall - at least to my craft room!

For my card, I embossed sand cardstock with a stone image embossing folder.  The gorgeous leaf is Neat & Tangled Oak Leaf dies.  I created the background with distressed oxide inks and cut the details leaf die from gold cardstock.  The sweet mice and sentiment are from the Neat & Tangled/Simon Says Stamp collaboration set: Hello Pumpkin (sooo glad I nabbed this set when it was available!)

Big Hugs

We all need a big hug every once in a while.  Last week a group of my dear friends got together and we hadn't seen each other in a long time.  There were LOTS of big hugs going around and it was wonderful!  Hope you get a big hug today!

For this simple card, I used several Distress Oxide inks to create the background.  The Big Hugs die and sweet little squirrels (Nuts About You) are from Neat & Tangled.

Heartfelt Thanks

This has already been "a week" and it's only Wednesday!  Getting into my craft room is the best therapy and I love 'getting lost' in a project.  This is the last one for the night, however, as sleep is also good therapy and I haven't gotten much of that this week!

This card is featuring one of my favorite Stampin Up sets - French Foliage - it's retired now, but I just love it!  The pretty cup is from another of my favorite coffee sets from Neat & Tangled - Perfect Blend.

Pumpkin Everything

I have a big confession to make.  I'm not a fan of pumpkin spiced latte (gasp!)  However, I'm a huge fan of enjoying a slice of pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread and also decorating pumpkins...while having a latte.  Does that count?

I'm also a fan of these wonderful images from Neat & Tangled, too!
For the card, I used a few fall colored Distressed Oxide inks and then stamped the Pumpkin Everything image over top.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut the pumpkin and popped it up over the image. The sweet cups and little coffee bean images are from the Perfect Blend set (one of my favs!)  I then decorated the back flap of an envelope to coordinate with the theme of the card.

Thanks to these wonderful challenges for the inspiration...

Birthday Month!

It's my birthday month and even though my actual birthday was a few days ago, it's still August....soooo, I'm still celebrating!!

For my card, I used several Neat & Tangled goodies.  First I cut hot pink cardstock with the Hexastar cover plate die and added a shiny silver cardstock behind it.  Then I made the box with the Box die and stuffed in some pretty sparkly tissue paper.  The sweet little girl is from the Better Together set and I used the birthday sentiment from the Yo Ho Ho set.  To finish, I added the pink sequins coming out of the box.
