Tropical Vibes

Pink & Main's newest released is filled with tropical vibes! Today, I'm sharing two cards using several goodies from this fabulous release...

For a quick and colorful background, I used one of the patterns in the Inked Oasis 6x6 Paper Pack. The pineapple and flora image and sentiment are from the new Tropical Pineapple stamp set and coordinating dies

For my next card, I created the background using the new Roundabout Stencil with different colored inks applied with Ergonomic Mini Blending Brushes. These pretty tropical flora images and sentiment are from the new Aloha Flowers Stamp Set and coordinating dies. To finish, I added a few embellishments from the Warm Jellies Gems.

Let's Flamingle!

I sooo want to go someplace tropical or at least to a beach!  Alas, that's not in my future, so I'll just have to go there in my mind for now :)  Thanks to Pink & Main's new release, there's a little bit of the tropics in my craft room!

For my card, I created a double shaker.  Using the new Layered Rectangle A2 Dies, I first created a frame by cutting the coral cardstock with two of the dies at the same time (see photo below).  I did the same thing for the sun by cutting yellow cardstock with two of the Layered Circle Dies; placed the circle where I wanted it in the corner of the frame and trimming it to be flush.

After gluing acetate to the back of the frame and sun, I lined each of these shapes with thin Darice Foam Strips creating 'sections' (the main frame part and the sun part) and added different shaker elements to each section. To finish, I adhered a pattern from the Summer Splash paper pad to enclose the shaker elements and adhered the entire shaker to a card base.

The fabulous images on my shaker card are from the new Let's Flamingle stamp set which has coordinating dies! This such a fun set!!  To make the 'rays' of the sun, I cut yellow cardstock with one of the dies, trimmed off the end and adhered them onto the acetate and around the circle shape.  To finish, I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and snipped the ends to make a banner.

Pink & Main September Release: Deck The Palms

I've always lived in cold weather climates, but it would be fun to celebrate the holidays in tropical weather!   Well, with today's sneak peek I got a little taste of what that would be like playing with the new Pink & Main Deck The Palms stamp set and coordinating dies!

For my first card, I used pattern paper from the Jolly 6x6 paper pad that I layered onto a piece of white cardstock.  Using one of the Stitched Top Note Dies, I cut an opening in the top/center of the layered piece.  On the card base, I sponged yellow ink at the top of the opening; blue in the center then cut cork for the bottom to look like sand. The Deck The Palms images were copic colored, die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered with pop up dots.  The sentiment was stamped on the smallest Stitched Top Note Die.

For my next card, I again used pattern paper from the Jolly 6x6 paper pad.  Remember the center piece I cut in the last card?  I used it here as the backdrop for this flamingo cutie from the Deck The Palms set!

I added the holly/berries and sentiment to complete the design.  I must admit, I was a bit 'tickled pink' with how this one turned out!
