Lots of Lovin' with Divinity Designs

 

 The January Divinity Designs Release is really beautiful!  And while my projects are Valentine's Day themed, these lovely products can really be used for so many other occasions such as weddings, showers, friendship, anniversaries, etc.

For my first card (this is one of my faves - if it's ok to say that!), I used these products:

This sweet box actually folds flat and will fit in a regular A2 envelope!  The hearts are 'propped' up with acetate strips so they look like they are floating :)

Haunted Halloween

I'm not big on scary things, but this card is just 'too cute to spook'!  Kat Scrappiness has so many wonderful Halloween-themed goodies!

For my slimline card, I layered a fun, Halloween colored pattern paper to the card base.  To create the shaker, I cut lime green cardstock using the new Chevron Slimline Die, adhered slimline acetate to the back, filled with new Bewitched Sprinkles plus Purple Candy and Lime Green Confetti Sprinkles and enclosed the back with orange cardstock and then adhered all of it to the card base.

The adorable haunted house, cute ghosts and 'boo' are all from Lawn Fawn.

Hello Sunshine

I do love Fall's beautiful colors and it's sweater weather!  Not to mention it's time for apple picking, a pumpkin patch visit and watching the leaves change!  

You'll 'Fall' in love with all of the beautiful new slimline dies, slimline envelopes, slimline acetate and sprinkles/sequins at Kat Scrappiness!

For my slimline card, I used the new Wood Grain Framed Diamond Wire Slimline Die to cut chocolate brown cardstock.  To create the shaker, I then adhered slimline acetate to the back of the Wood Grain Framed Diamond Wire Slimline diecut, added Aww-tumn Sequin Remix and Red Cherry Blossom Sprinkles and covered the back with wood grain pattern paper.  I then adhered it all to the card base.

These sweet sunflowers, kitty and sentiment are all from Newton's Nook.

 

Hello Fall

 

Hello Friends, Kathy here!  I do think Fall is finally on it's way.  Today was a gorgeous day with no humidity and just a touch of cool air!  This gal is definitely looking forward to sweater weather!

Pink & Main has the most amazing stamps and dies available for Fall projects!  My card is featuring the new Sympathy Slimline (scallop) die which I cut in brown cardstock for the frame and Leafy Slimline die which I cut from Yupo paper and applied different alcohol ink.  The sentiment die is also included in the Leafy Slimline die set! 

Gifts of Joy

 One of my favorite holiday activities is wrapping!  A pretty wrapping and tag makes any gift extra special and shows the recipient you put a lot of love into their gift!

The new Wreath of Joy Confetti Cuts makes a perfect tag to dress up packages, gift bags and more.  It's also SO much fun to put together because the color and paper combinations you can make are endless!

For the gift, I took kraft wrapping paper and stamped images from the beautiful Holiday Bough stamp set.  Using the Wreath of Joy Confetti Cuts, I created the tag with shiny gold, red glitter and Avocado cardstock and tied it to the gift with red/white baker's twine.

For another tag, I cut Midnight cardstock using the Inside Scallop Circle Tag for the tag base.  I then used the Wreath of Joy Confetti Cuts to cut Avocado, Salsa, shiny gold and glittery gold cardstock to create the pretty word and adhered it to the tag base.

Trick or Treat Sweets

We love having trick or treaters come to get candy on Halloween!  It's so fun to see their costumes -- some are so creative!  Hoping this year we'll still have Trick or Treat, but in the meantime, I created a slimline card will little bags filled with treats!

For my card, I first layered a fun Halloween pattern paper.  I then used two of the new Neverending Slimline Dies to create a frame.  To make each of the treat bags, I took one each of the Slimline Zig Zag Dies and Neverending Slimline Dies, taped them together and ran both of them at the ends through the Big Shot using different cardstock colors.

After trimming them to equal sizes, I placed acetate behind the front, zig zag cutout, filled them with several new Halloween-themed sprinkles (see thumbnails at the end of the post) and covered the back with other Halloween pattern  paper.
For the trim, I cut glittery silver cardstock with one of the Slimline Neverending dies and cut a strip to fit the top of the bags.  I added baker's twine to the the top of the treat bags and adhered them to the card.  To finish, I added the white embossed sentiments.

For my first card, I layered mustard cardstock onto the card base. I used one EZ-Light unit.  I adhered one of the light strings to the back of the candle, popped up the candle and adhered it to the jar, then adhered the other two light strings to the back of the jar image which is also popped up.  (The jar and candle images are from Pink & Main's Pretty Jars set.)

After arranging the jar/candle to the back of the pattern paper so it was in the center of the cut out circle, I adhered the two images to the back of the pattern paper.  Then, I adhered the light pack to the back of the pattern paper and attached the pattern paper/images to the card base.  To finish, I added these beautiful sunflowers and sentiment from the Sunny Greetings set.

 

These little light packs are super easy to add to your cards by taping down the wires of lights and mechanism where you want them.   Hope my instructions above made sense, but if not, you can find visual instructions from Pear Blossom HERE.

 

For my second card, I made a lighted, starry sky slimline!

After creating a distressed oxide background applied with the Ergonomic Blending Brush, I cut out stars at the top.  This adorable little bear is from the new Happy Fall set; the diecut words were made with the Seasons Greetings word dies.

I simply added the EZ-Lights to the back of the card front and covered it over with yellow cardstock.  Look how the card comes to life when the EZ-Light button is pressed...
