Come Let Us Adore Him

Hey, Crafty Friends! Today I'm sharing a Christmas shaker card featuring Catherine Pooler Designs new Let Us Adore Him stamp set and other goodies!  Christmas is just a couple months away and it's time to get into 'hyper-mode' on my holiday cards - this one was fun and easy to pull together!

Here's how I created my card:

1.  I first layered a snowy pattern paper to the card base and set it aside.

2.  Using Honey Bee Stamps A2 Shaker Snow Globe die (solid die), I cut a white piece of cardstock for the background and blended the following Distress Oxide Inks:  Scattered Straw, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire.

3.  To create the shaker element, I used the Honey Bee Stamps A2 Shaker Snow Globe die (outer frame) to cut silver cardstock and acetate. Then cut brown textured cardstock with the snow globe base die and adhered to the bottom of the snow globe.

4.  I adhered the cut acetate to the back of the silver cardstock snow globe frame using Art Glitter Glue with the Ultrafine Metal Tip. Then on top of the acetate, lined the frame with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Strips

5.  I placed some shaker elements/embellishments onto the center of the acetate, removed the backing from the foam strips and 'enclosed'/adhered the ink blended snow globe piece onto the back of the snow globe frame.

6.  I then stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black ink, the nativity image using Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire and Squeezed Lemon for the angel image then cut them out with the coordinating Let Us Adore Him dies and adhered them to the snow globe.

7.  Lastly, I adhered the snow globe element to the card base.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Cocoa Cheers!

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  I'm so happy to stopped by today to see what's brewin'...

One of the best things to have on a cold day is a yummy cup of hot cocoa...of course in a cute mug!

Batty For You

There's a bit of a chill in the air and the stores are loading up shelves with tasty treats...that can only mean Halloween is right around the corner!  Whether for the upcoming holiday or to tell someone they are pretty special to you, Lawn Fawn's Batty For You is a darling set to use!

Here is how I created my card:

1)  First I layered black cardstock onto the card base.

2)  On a piece of white cardstock - cut 1/4" shorter than the black layered piece - I placed a diecut circle in the left-hand corner and taped the part that came off the card with Spellbinders Best Ever Craft Tape just to hold it in place.

3)  Then, I blended these Distress Oxide Inks onto the white piece going from the bottom to the top:  Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire with Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tools.

4)  Taking watered-down black paint and Tim Holtz Splatter Brush, I added splatters to the card.

5)  Removing the diecut circle, I then blended Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke ink using Tim Holtz Bubble Layered Stencil in a few places on the white, unblended circle.

6)  The Lawn Fawn Batty For You images were stamped with Honey Bee Stamps Intense Black Ink and Copic colored (see colors listed below) and cut them out with the Lawn Fawn Batty For You coordinating dies.

7)  After arranging the pieces, I adhered the colored images and sentiment strip using Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Strips.

8) Using the star dies in the die set, I cut shiny silver cardstock and randomly adhered the stars to the card.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Fall-ing For Coffee

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe!  I'm so glad you stopped in today to see what's brewin'...

I love fall colors and creating fall cards...actually the next few months is my FAVORITE card-making season!

I used several new Pink & Main goodies today!  The coffee bean background was created using one of the Foilables panels in the Coffee Lovers Foilables Kit with Pebbles Bronze CheerFoil and ran them through the Mini Minc Foiling Machine (this background used the negative of the foil and used with one of the Garden Color Toner Sheets then ran through the Mini Minc Foiling Machine).

These adorable to-go cups are from the new Thanks a Latte stamp set and coordinating dies.  The sentiment is from the new Autumn Greetings Dies.

For my card, I cut a pattern from the Pumpkin Seasons Paper Pack with a Stitched Rectangle Set 1 die for the background. The big, shimmery pumpkin was created using the Thankful Pumpkin Foilables Panels with Glitzy Gold CheerFoil and running it through the Mini Minc Foiling Machine then fussy cut the pumpkin. These sweet images are from the new Warm and Cozy stamps and coordinating dies. The sentiment is from the Fall Sentiments Foilables Panels which I foiled with Glitzy Gold CheerFoil.

Happy Fall Y'all

Hey, Crafty Friends - are you excited that Fall is right around the corner!  Kathy here sharing my last card as a Gerda Steiner Designs Guest Designer - it's been SO much fun and am so grateful to have had this opportunity to highlight some fabulous goodies from Gerda Steiner Designs!!

For my card, I first layered dark brown cardstock to the card base.  I then layered several different fall-themed pattern papers to the dark brown cardstock base.  Using a pierced circle die, I cut orange cardstock for a backdrop to the copic colored images.

This darling squirrel and branches/leaves images from the HAPPY FALL stamp set were Copic colored and fussy cut then popped up onto the card.  The sentiment, also from this set, was stamped onto yellow cardstock and cut with a mini banner die then popped up onto the card.

Autumn Greetings

The NEW RELEASE has bushels and bushels of Fall goodness!! Wonderful new stamps, dies, CheerFoils, Foilables, a stencil and embossing folders - wow!!

For my first card, I first layered rust cardstock onto the card base. For the shimmery leaves background, I used the Falling Leaves Foilables panel with Fairy Wings Green CheerFoil and run through the Mini Minc Foiling Machine. I then used the new Knit Sweater 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the foiled piece and trimmed the bottom part of it. The layered word diecuts are from the new Autumn Greetings Dies set. I stamped and die cut these leaves from the Autumn Leaves stamp set with coordinating Autumn Leaves dies.

For my next card, I created a pretty, shiny background using the negative of the foil from my first card with one of the Fall Ombre Foilables Panels and ran it through the Mini Minc Foiling Machine. I cut Coffee Shop cardstock with one of the Stitched Rectangle Set 1 Dies for the backdrop for this darling August Pup image. The sentiment I used is from the new Fall Sentiments Foilables Panels and Gold CheerFoil and run through the Mini Minc Foiling Machine
