Bubble Up

There are so many super CUTE and FUN goodies in Pink & Main's new release!! Today I'm featuring two new sets and several other fabulous items...

For my first card, I layered a pattern from the Year Round Plaids paper pad and cardstock onto the card base. I created a border using these candy images in the NEW I Chews You stamp set. It's hard to see in the picture, but I used Touch of Gloss on the candy wraps and on different parts of the other candy. Also in this set is the image of the girl blowing some bubblegum. For the bubble, I colored the bubble, stamped the 'have a sweet day' sentiment in the set and covered it with a Glitter 1" Circle Scratch Off Sticker and scratched it off a bit with a plastic Scratcher disc! For her top and headband, I paper pieced with the Year Round Plaids paper pattern I used for the background. To finish, I added a few Glitter Enamel Dots.

For my second card, I cut The Park and Salon cardstock with the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 Dies. The Salon cardstock was then embossed with the Dotted Triangles 6x6 Embossing Folder. How fun is this gumball machine?! It's from the new Gumballs stamp set and coordinating dies. I created a shaker and also paper pieced the image. The sentiment is stamped on Street Light cardstock and cut with Stitched Rectangles Set 2 Die. To finish, I added several colors of Glitter Enamel Dots.

Be Mine, Valentine

Even critters in the woods celebrate Valentine's Day just like this sweet little bunny!

Here's how I created my card...

1)  I took white cardstock, embossed it with Sizzix/Tim Holtz 3-D Texture Fades Tree Rings Embossing Folder then blended Distress Oxide Walnut Stain for the background.

2)  The new Sizzix/Tim Holtz Wood Slice Thinlits are so fun. I cut light brown cardstock for the bases, dark cardstock for the second layer and ivory cardstock for the top piece then brushed Distress Oxide Walnut Stain on the ends and center.  I then cut red cardstock using the alpha dies in the die set to spell out "Be Mine".

3)  The pretty little flowers added are from Spellbinders Mini Blooms and Sprigs.

4)  The darling bunny peeking out from the wood slice was created with Sizzix Pocket Pals Thinlits.

A Bouquet For You

Next to coffee-themed stamps/dies, I tend to gravitate towards flowers and these delicate florals just make me happy!

For my card, I embossed white cardstock with Tim Holtz/Sizzix 3-D Brickworks embossing folder for the background.  The pretty florals are Spellbinders Sealed Blooms dies and the 'twine' is Spellbinders Sealed Twine die.

The wax seal really took me back in time!  I had several pen pals as a young girl and we loved sealing our envelopes with wax/stamps.  I used Honey Bee Stamps Hugs & Kisses Wax Melts and Spellbinders Sending Flowers Wax Seal Stamp.  I used a gold deco pen to 'color' the envelope/blooms in the center of the wax seal.

To finish, I added the sentiment from Spellbinders Sentiments For You stamps.

Just Floating By...

There are those people who are just uplifting to others. I'm blessed to know several folks like that and think these adorable critters could remind me to be an uplifting person! The NEW Pink & Main RELEASE goes live tomorrow (1/20)! For today, I'm sharing a card featuring the new Floating By set.

For my card, I used pattern paper from the BEE Kind Paper Pad and cut with Stitched Rectangle Set 1 Dies for the background layering pieces. I cut Street Light Cardstock with Concave Rectangles Dies as a backdrop for these super cute critters balloons from the new Floating By stamp set (and coordinating dies). There are several types of Scratch-Off products to help create a fun, interactive element to your cards to reveal a sentiment or stamped image! I used the gold Scratch-Off Sticker Sheet and stamped the balloon image, cut it out and placed it over the base image. I then stamped the "scratch off" sentiment on top - the sentiment is also found in the Floating By stamp set.

To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment from the set on aqua cardstock then cut it out with the Top Note Dies (currently on sale!) I then added a few Pandamonium Enamel Dots.

Well, Hello Winter!

“Winter” really made its debut last week! Crazy cold, wild winds, snow and ice…burr!! I’ve never been a fan of winter, but these incredibly cute marshmallow snowmen make me feel warm all over!

For my card, I first layered a piece of Barbershop Cardstock to the card base. For the background, I sprinkled three different embossing powders ( Wintergreen, Sapphire, and Chameleon) onto white cardstock; covered it with parchment paper and applied heat with a heat gun. After lifting off the parchment, I reheated to make sure the powder was embossed then dry embossed with the Snow Day Embossing Folder. I really like the way it came out!

These adorable images and sentiment are from the Hello Winter stamp set and coordinating dies which were placed on top of a double layer of Barbershop and Ice Rink Cardstock (aptly named – lol!). To finish, I added a few glittery Vitamin Sea Enamel Dots.
