These happy, fun cups created with Mama Elephant's Boba Shaker Combo dies really perk me up! I know...but it's the little things, right?
If you're like me, you always need birthday cards in your stash. I wanted to create something happy, yet a different type of birthday card that could be used for anyone!
For my slimline card, I first cut light blue cardstock with one of the Never Ending Nesting dies and adhered to the card base. I then cut two cloud borders from white cardstock using the Slimline Stitched Cloud Border Die Set for the top and bottom of the card. Taking the Slimline Rainbow Die Set, I cut different, brightly colored cardstock and wove the rainbow through the clouds. Cutting black cardstock with the Happy Birthday word die, I added the diecut to the corner of the card. To finish, I added the light blue stars cut from the die included in the Slimline Rainbow Die Set and then some clear sequins.

For my second card tonight, I used Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge die. The stamped sentiment and images are all from Ellen Hutson A Breve Note - such a cute set!

I managed to get a couple cards completed tonight...with some extra caffeine! For this card, I layered a design from Trinity Stamps Black & White slimline paper pad onto the card base. These fun cup shapes were created using STAMPlorations Zen Coffee Cups Layering Dies and the sweet crafty images are from Gina K Designs Crafty Notes!
Happy Spring! This Saturday was the first day of Spring and I find that worth celebrating!! My tulips are popping out of the ground, tiny leaf buds are growing on tree branches and the weather is getting warmer -- Spring is my favorite season!
For my card, I layered black then light blue cardstock to the cardbase. Green cardstock was cut with the Slimline Grass Border Die for the ground. Using the After The Rain dies, I cut pretty spring colors of cardstock for the rainbow and added a white cardstock cloud with this die.
The 'abstract' looking butterfly shaker was created using the Rainbow Egg Die set! I cut two of the smaller egg die and brushed them with different inks then glued the centers, slightly overlapping them. I then cut black cardstock with the larger egg die and used one of the cutouts for the center 'body'; highlighting it with a white gel pen. To create the shaker, I glued acetate to the back and trimmed it to the butterflies shape. Using thin foam strips, I lined the edges of the butterfly over the acetate then added Mirrored Clear Hallowed Star Sequins. I then enclosed the back with white cardstock and trimmed it to the shape of the butterfly.
To finish, I cut black cardstock using the "Happy Birthday" Brush Script Word dies and highlighted the letters with a white gel pen.

My card today features several awesome goodies from Trinity Stamps, fun shaker elements from Kat Scrappiness and the perfect Coffee word die from Honey Bee Stamps! I love the Hip To Be Square Slimline die that I used for the backdrop! One of my favorite cup dies is Trinity Stamps Summertime Sips because it's great for shakers. Who can resist this little coffee-lovin' gnome!

For my slimline card, I used paper from the new Easter On Parade Slimline Paper Pack for the background and paper piecing. I then cut shiny gold cardstock with one of the Wonky Stitched Nesting Slimline dies and cut the center with one of the Slimline Never Ending Nesting dies. Using the Layered Coffee Cup die, I created the top cup with paper from the Easter On Parade Slimline Paper Pack and added the words from the Got Coffee? dies. The second cup I used as a vase for the flowers created with the Layered Tulip Bouquet Die Set.
