Paper Smooches Challenge - Happy Things

Are you ready for a new Paper Smooches Challenge?!!  The theme this time is....

Hope you'll play along and have a chance for great prizes!! This challenge runs from April 15-30 and winners will be announced on the Paper Smooches blog on May 1 or 2.  Three winners will be chosen: one winner will receive a prize package, one winner will receive a $25 Paper Smooches gift certificate and one winner will be randomly selected to win a $5 gift certificate!

 For my card, I cut dark brown cardstock using the Fab Frames Dies and then cut out the center from white cardstock; brushing light blue ink on the piece.  

I love cactus plants - they make me happy as does the warm places they grow -  and these super fun Cacti Dies come with lots of extra dies to add texture!  The darling sunglasses are from the
Disguised Dies.  To finish, I stamped this sentiment found in the Get Outta Town set!

A Happy Place

 I just got back from some time off and am ready to go on vacation again...to some place with a beach, lots of sun and drinks in pineapples!!  Yep, that would be a happy place!!

For my card, I used several sets and a die from Paper Smooches (Outta Town and Incognito stamp sets; Fused Frame die).   Had fun fussy cutting the images and coloring with copics!

Bon Voyage!

 I'm excited for a little trip my daughter and I will be taking next week to see family!  While I travel often for work, my daughter doesn't "get out much" and she loves airports (believe it or not!)  I think what she loves is the thought of going to fun places.  She's definitely going to be a traveler after college!

Paper Sweeties July Inspiration Challenge!

 Happy July!!  This is a month of celebrations and at Paper Sweeties we're celebrating a new Inspiration Challenge - yay!  How will this month's challenge inspire you?  Looking forward to what you'll create!!

For my card, I started by cutting cork from Stitched Tag #1 Sweet Cuts and added the beach elements from these sets: Island Time, Let's Go To The Beach, Surfs Up and At The Beach.  So much summer fun!

Fun In The Sun

Happy Friday!  I took a day of vacation today just to play in my craft room and have my own kind of "summer fun"!  It IS  a gorgeous day so I will need to take a "break" at some point and get some sun and just pretend I'm at the beach!

My card was created with stamps and dies from Paper Sweeties.  The sun was made using the reverse of a Papertrey Ink die and watercolors.
