For each of my cards, I used two wonderful goodies from the Not 2 Shabby Shop: Snow Sweet stamp set and Plaids for Christmas paper pad (I LOVE plaids)! On my first project, I created a frame with Trinity Stamps Modern Embossed Rectangle dies then also used Pink & Main Stitched Circles and Stitched Rectangle.
I couldn't resist making a shaker card with this cute image! Love these shiny red sequins from Calls For Confetti and Spellbinders Peppermint Sprinkles.

Paper Smooches January Challenge

Glittery Snowflakes
Hey, Pink & Main Fans! Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and to our Canadian friends - Happy Boxing Day! The holidays come and go so quickly, but I hope you had a chance to relax and enjoy this very special, blessed season.
It is COLD! This is the first year in a long time that winter has truly arrived so early. I'll admit it...I really dislike snow and winter, but I do love snowflakes; the paper kind that is!
For my card, I used a few pattern papers in the Be Merry paper pad to layer the front, inside and die cut circle. I first die cut a circle on the front and a separate layered piece (which eventually gets glued to the front/inside) of the card using one of the Stitched Circle dies. I then cut two of the medium sized snowflakes in the Bold Snowflake dies cut from Silver Sparkle cardstock; placing a piece of twine in between them before gluing them together. I then glued the snowflake/twine to the back side of the card front and glued that separate layered piece to the card front encasing the twine.
I cut the interior snowflakes with a few different colored sparkle cardstock (Barbershop, The Park and Salon) using the smallest die in the Bold Snowflake dies.

Winter Has Arrived
The weather here has been mostly mild. In fact, yesterday it was 59 degrees late morning! Yes, that's really unusual for the midwest in January and today we're back to winter with low temps and snow flurries!
So it seemed appropriate to create something a bit frosty :) I layered black cardstock onto the card base. Then I created a panel using Newton's Nook new Plaid Stencil set and distress oxide ink (Broken China and Black Soot). I cut red cardstock for the frame cut with one of My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle Frames. For the inside of the frame, I blended Broken China then cut a strip of glitter paper for 'snow'. This sweet little snowman and sentiment are from Newton's Nook Frozen Friends. To finish, I added some clear, sparkly sequins.
