Let me start by saying that I struggle with mixed media.  I'm awed by the beautiful projects the STAMPlorations mixed media girls create and keep trying to make this style/technique work for me.  I have to admit, I'm pretty happy with how this card turned out (you don't want to see what some of the others looked like!)

To start, I created a background with alcohol inks in bright, spring colors and mixed in some gold.  Then, I used STAMPlorations Foiled Again Mini Stencil and a creamy pearl embossing paste to add texture to two corners.  The butterflies and sentiments are from Trendy Butterflies which I stamped in black then blended distress oxide ink over them.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to leave a comment below, on the STAMPlorations blog and/or the blogs of the Design Team to be entered to win -- the more you enter, the better your chances!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019!

Welcome!  Thanks so much for joining the 7th Annual Season's Givings Blog Hop and for stopping by my blog!  There are so many amazing projects being shared and every stop on the hop has prizes - wow!! (see hop list below)

This is the first year I've participated in the hop and am so excited...is this fun or what?!  The hop started as a thank you and a way to give back to the wonderful crafting community we're all part of.  I've met so many incredible people through this shared love of crafting and everyday I am inspired, supported and uplifted. YOU have enhanced my life in more ways than you'll ever know -- THANK YOU!

If you are new to my blog - welcome!  You can also find me on Instagram (@stampinkathy4), Pinterest (Kathy Schweinfurth) and Facebook (Kathy Schweinfurth).

Remember I said every stop on the hop has prizesHere's my giveaway package for one lucky winner!  To be eligible, simply leave a comment below sharing your crafty/creative New Year's resolution and become a follower of my blog by Saturday, January 5th at midnight EST.  I'll announce the winner on Sunday, January 6th.

One of my 2018 crafty resolutions was to learn to take better photos - still will be working on staging in 2019.  Another resolution is to try new techniques and do a few things outside my comfort zone like non-line coloring and actually opening up and trying my gel pad!  What's your crafty New Year's resolution? Here are a few of my favorite projects from this year...
