Simply Amazing

As I post this, we have snow on the ground...snow! Our flowers and trees had begun to bloom, but it looks like their growth is going to need to wait a few days. Thankfully, the roses were in full bloom in my craft room!!

For my card, I used several NEW goodies from Pink & Main's April Release!! I layered dark raspberry cardstock to the card base. I then cut white cardstock using the new CONCAVE RECTANGLES DIES and added texture using the new ROSE GARDEN EMBOSSING FOLDER before adhering the piece to the card. These gorgeous blooms are from the new ROSES stamp set with coordinating dies which I copic colored. The sentiment is also from the set. To finish, I added several pretty embellishments from the new STARLIGHT GEMS!

Special Day for Moms and Dads

Hey, 'Fetti Fans!  There are many things we are looking forward to in the coming months -- folks being able to get back to work, a healthier world and, yes, getting our hair done!  There are also two special days coming up and that's Mother's Day and Father's Day!

For my trio of cards, I used several of the same items and did a variation of stamp sets and layout.  All cards contain:

For my first, card, I used Lift Me Up Stamps and coordinating dies for the images and sentiment banner.  These giraffes are so sweet!

Pandas just make me happy!  I used the Miso Happy Stamps and coordinating dies for this Dad card creating a little scene on the tag.

And last, but certainly not least, is a card for mom.   The koalas in the Bear Hugs stamp set look so caring and loving...just like mom!

A Special Day

May holds many 'special days' for us - several birthdays, Mother's Day and two graduations!

For my card, I started by layering Cloud White cardstock cut with the Diagonal Stitches Cover.  I then added the Stormy cardstock strip across the center and layered up Iced Aqua cardstock and a peach pattern from the Darling Dots paper pad.

The center backdrop circle was made with Stormy cardstock cut with one of the Lacy Scallop Circles dies.  I gold embossed the image from the Hatbox Floral stamp set, colored with copics and cut with the coordinating die

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration...

Divinity Designs Mother's Day

Divinity Designs April Release is filled with lovely images and dies to create something special for your mom, grandma, daughter or friend!

For my first card, I used one of the Pierced Rectangles Dies to cut dark olive cardstock and adhered to the cardbase.  I used the Triangle Quilt Die to first cut black cardstock for the 'frame', then cut patterns from the Cozy Quilt Collection and Beautiful Blooms paper pads and inlaid the pieces into the black cardstock frame.

I stamped the flower and sentiment from the Grandmother's Heart stamp set onto white cardstock, colored the bloom with copic markers then cut the panel using one of the Pierced Rectangles Dies.

For my next card, I created a softer card using the Half Shutter Card and Layers dies.  The pattern paper is from the Romantic Florals paper pad.  The pretty flowers and sentiment are from the Daughter's Best Friend set and both were stamped on white cardstock and cut out with one of the Ovals Dies then layered with one of the Scallop Ovals Dies.  For the 'mother' part, I used Alphabet Flag Dies cut from two different papers in the Romantic Florals paper pad.

Divinity Designs - April Release Inspiration

Divinity Designs new release has so many wonderful products to celebrate special occasions...such as Mother's Day!

For my card, I first cut a paper from the new Pretty Pink Peonies pad using on of the Pierced Rectangle Dies then layered on a pretty floral pattern from the pad.  Using the Lavish Layers Dies, I cut a dark olive cardstock and placed a strip of Pretty Pink Peonies paper on top.  The lovely flower is from the new Grandmother's Heart set which was stamped and colored on white cardstock cut with one of the Circle Dies and layered with pink paper cut from one of the Scallop Circle Dies.

To finish, I created a little Pretty Pink Peonies bow using a die contained in both the Test Tube Treat and Test Tube Trio Dies and placed it on the sentiment piece which was cut using one of the Pierced Rectangle Dies.

And now for my next card...

The new Quilted Triangle Die has an unlimited amount of possible color/print combinations when using the inlaid die technique!  I've always wanted to lean how to quilt, but never seemed to get to it...now with this die I can!

For my card, I created a 4.25"x 4.25" card base.  I then cut black cardstock using one of the Scallop Square Dies.  Cutting the Quilted Triangle Die in white cardstock as the 'frame' first, I then cut Pretty Pink Peonies and Chalkboard Collection papers with the die and used the inlaid die technique to 'color in' the spaces.  To finish, I used the Happy Stamp/Die Duo.

Divinity Design April Release!

Wait til you see Divinity Designs' April Release!  Today I'm sharing two projects featuring some of the fabulous products that are now available!

My first project is 'exploding' with fun!  The new Explosion Box dies make creating this box super easy!  Using the new Explosion Box Pockets & Layers dies adds fun little pockets to tuck in notes, treats, photos, etc.  With the new Mini Box die, you can put a little gift right in the center of the Explosion Box.  You can also use this Mini Box to hold a present or treats all by itself!

I used the Alphabet Flag dies to create little banners for the inside.

For my next project, I used the Scallop Rectangle, Scallop Square and Rectangle dies to cut different patterns from the new Pretty Pink Peonies paper to layer. The pretty flower image and sentiment are from the new Daughter's Best Friend set which I stamped on white cardstock cut with one of the Square dies.

You'll want to stop by the Divinity Designs blog to view the entire release complete with video and special bundle offers!
