Valentine's Day will be here in just a couple weeks! I love this special day as much as anyone else (ok, it's the chocolate that I like!), but for me it means we're getting closer to spring :) I know - that's sad - and my grandma used to say not to wish your life away - but I truly hate winter!
Tonight my for my card I used two different SU paper doilies, the bunch of heart balloons die is from Memory Box and string dies from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is also from Stampin Up. I started to place dots around the card using an SU template, but the right side "needed something", so I cut out around the design and place a piece of red cardstock behind it...I think I like it better!
Thanks so much to these challenges for inspiring my card:
I'm with you on the spring thing, Kathy. I'm not a fan of winter either.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty and sophisticated card. The red card stock on the right balances the card very nicely! Thanks for joining us at Cut it Up for our Love is in the Air challenge! We love to see you there!

Hi Kathy, your grandma was right..the older I get, the faster it's going. But I agree with you about winter, Valentines Day signifies the end is near! And of course, I love chocolate and all things red/gold/pink! Speaking of, what a great entry for the sketch challenge. The doilies and balloons together are perfect, what a gorgeous card!
