We just got back from the being at the beach for a few days and I miss it already! The weather was beautiful and I just loved walking along the shore, picking up shells and watching a few dolphins playing in the ocean! Having grown up on the east coast, my weekends were spent at the beach. Now being landlocked for so many years, I'd forgotten how utterly relaxing and peaceful I feel at the shore...think I have a new retirement plan!
This card was really fun to make using several Reverse Confetti products! For the background, I smooched Iced Aqua and Lime Green ink on my mat, mixed in embossing paste and layered the mixture over the Leaf Lattice Stencil and sponge dabbed some Iced Aqua ink around. Before it dried, I sprinkled some sand over the base that I picked up on the beach! I cut cork using the Scalloped Tag Layer Confetti Cuts. The Sand Dollar Confetti Cuts was cut from Cloud White cardstock which I used distressed oxide inks to add color and then gold embossed the center cut piece. The sentiment from Simply Sentiments was gold embossed on Midnight cardstock. To finish, I added some rope and gold sequins then layered the base on Midnight and Aqua cardstock.
Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration and letting me share:
