For my card, I used several fun products from Reverse Confetti! To start, I layered a piece of Salsa cardstock to the Premier Polar White cardstock base. Using designs from the Fright Night pattern paper pad, I layered the star design piece to the bottom and for the top part of the card, I cut the dotted design using one of the Edger Confetti Cuts. Using the same die, I cut Bubblebee cardstock; trimming off the scallop edge and adding it to the lower part.
The 'globe' was created by cutting gold cardstock with the Globe Confetti Cuts and instead of a 'world', I used an apple image from All Apples stamp set and coordinating dies. I also added the pencils and little book worm both from the Worm Wishes stamp set which also has coordinating dies.
Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration and letting me share!
Oh, Kathy!! I love this! That worm, though :) Thanks for joining the Back 2 School Challenge for CAS-ual Fridays!!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Kathy! I like the way you've paired up the gold stand with the apple from another set - they look like they were meant to be together. Great colours too. Thank you for joining us at As You See It Challenge.
ReplyDeleteLove how you used the gold die cut! And the worm is the perfect accent. Thanks for sharing with us at Word 2 Craft By!

ReplyDeleteI love that your card is full of back to school symbols: globe, apple for the teacher, bookworm, pencils, and gold stars! As a former teacher, I get sentimental about this time of year, thinking about when I would be going in and preparing my classroom for another school year, full of excitement and optimism! And I know what you mean about time speeding up once the kids reach middle school! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenges.

ReplyDeleteAwww! I feel your pain with making your LAST school card. My daughter is also starting her senior year at college. She's my youngest so this is unchartered territory for me since I have been raising kids for 39 years! But enough about me - your card will surely make her very happy! I love all of the details. Truly wonderful!! Thank you for playing with my challenge at Cardz 4 Galz and hope we see your next creation with us soon.
