Fiesta!

 

 Fiesta!  I remember when my daughter was a little girl, she soooo wanted a pinata for her birthday party.  Even though my husband and I had no idea how or where we could hang it, off we went to the party store.  She selected a pinata just like the one on my card, we bought treats for the inside and, miraculously, my husband rigged something so it stayed secure enough for 7 years olds to bat the heck out of without anyone getting hurt :)  It was a huge hit and the kids had a blast -- a very successful fiesta!



For my card, I layered on white cardstock cut with Our Daily Bread Designs Pierced Rectangle die to the base.  I created a circle 'stencil' and sponged in yellow ink.  The festive, rainbow pinata is a die from My Favorite Things as is the 'fiesta' word die.  After spattering some black paint, I added colored paper sequins cut from a retired My Favorite Things sequins die.

    I love the colorful pinata. It reminds me of the funny movies that you often see on TV, of children who just go wrong with this pinata.
