I must admit...that very first cup of coffee in the morning "blooms" me into life!
For my card I used products from Stamplorations (After Coffee and Bloom Sketches stamps; Daisy Dance stencil). I watercolored the background in blue and then spritz clorox/water over the stencil to create the image (looks like clouds, but that wasn't intended...surprise!) I then watercolored and fussy cut the daisy adding white ink dots to the center and paper pieced/fussy cut the coffee cup.
Thanks so much to these challenges for the inspiration:

GREAT card, Kathy -- love the summery feel! Had to laugh because the sentiment is so apropos -- after being awake for 40 hours and then getting just 4.5 sleep, I'm sitting here nursing a big cup of coffee and life DOES begin after coffee! So happy to see your card in the STAMPlorations galleries! Happy weekend!

ReplyDeleteSO much to love here. That paper pieced mug caught my eye first. Looks fabulous. Then the tiny white dots you added to the flower. Great idea. And lastly I realized you'd stenciled that BG. Didn't really notice that they were blooms at first. What a cool effect.
