Spring Flowers

This is a new kind of technique for me which was inspired by Kim Makortoff.  I white embossed these flowers from Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds set on black cardstock and colored them in using watercolor pencils.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.  A little "messy" (which is why I rarely use white embossing powder...even rubbing resin over the cardstock before embossing...I still get speckly :)

Thanks to these challenge blogs!!

  6. So I'm not the only one who gets frustrated with white embossing!! I have exactly the same problem and it really upsets me sometimes because it can easily ruin a great card. To be honest though, I didn't notice any specks at all until I read it in your post. I was too busy taking in those glorious flowers!! This is a gorgeous CASE of Kim's card and I'm so glad you shared it with us at TIME OUT! Hope you will join us again soon!
