 Welcome back for a new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge!!  Our challenges are Anything Goes, but each month there is an optional twist.  This month's twist:  TREES.

 Summer is here!  This is actually the time I get into full gear making my holiday cards - seriously, I do!  That way, I can focus on creating other gifts and getting my house ready for the holidays starting the day after Thanksgiving :)

 For my card, I used these brush tree images from Papertrey Ink...they remind me of decorations we had when I was a little girl.

 May?  How did it become May?!  Well, I for one am soooo happy for warm weather and sunshine!  But even though it's spring, I still LOVE creating Christmas cards!  Hope you do too and will join this month's Christmas challenge!

 For my card, I used this reindeer stamp to mask.  I haven't done this technique in a long time and now I can't remember why...it's so fun!

Happy Little Stampers April Christmas Challenge

 

Welcome to a new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge!!  Our challenges are always Anything Goes and include an optional twist.  This month's twist is "Emboss" - dry embossing, heat embossing...whatever type you'd like!

    For my card, I chose to heat emboss.  Using the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Joy set, I gold embossed the trees then watercolored the imaged.  I placed the sentiment on a strip of vellum.

Happy Little Stampers March Christmas Challenge

 Welcome back for a new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge!!  Our challenges are Anything Goes, but each month there is an optional twist.  This month's twist:  STAR.

 

 For those who know me, I've been challenged with my last Christmas present...a new camera.  It's not a fancy-dancy one, just a small one similar to one I previously used.  It was a wonderful, thoughtful gift from my husband and daughter. There's just a teeny-tiny issue:  I can't seem to take great shots with it!  So, you'll see a few new backgrounds, angles, coloring/exposure etc. until I figure it out (I think it's that "old dog/new tricks" thing)!

 

 

 For my card, I die cut a white star and layered on a decorative, gold star then added some tiny red rhinestones and some gold - you got it - stars!

Happy Little Stampers February Christmas Challenge

 Welcome to a brand new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge! It's never too early to make Christmas cards and gifts and starting now ensures you'll have a stash of goodies for the holidays!

 This month's optional twist is to use Holly in your project.  Of course, it's not necessary and any product can be used in our challenges.  Can't wait to see what you create!!

 For my card, I started with this bright polka dot and woodgrain pattern paper.  The holly, other sprigs and sentiment are from PTI.  To finish, I added a pretty seam binding bow.

Happy Little Stampers January Christmas Challenge

 Happy New Year!  And I have exciting news to start off 2017...I've been invited to join the Happy Little Stampers' Christmas Challenge Design Team for the next several months!!  I do love to make Christmas cards all year round and was thrilled to have been invited by Kylie to join this wonderfully talented group!!

Well, let's get started...

This month's Christmas challenge is Anything Goes (with an optional twist to use "Joy" on your creation)

 

 For my card, I used Happy Little Stampers Christmas Joy stamp set.  Isn't this a gorgeous image?!  I white embossed the poinsettia image on black cardstock, copic colored two images of the flower and then fussy cut.  To finish, I added this sentiment from the set (love that font!), gold cord and gold sequins).
