Pretty Sweet Bouquets

Pink & Main's recent release is amazing -- I've had SO much fun playing with it all!  If you've missed any of the projects, be sure to browse the blog for tons of inspiration!

Today I'm using one of the images in the Sweet Bouquet stamp set trying out a couple different techniques.

For my first card, I layered coral cards stock and a pattern from the Sunset paper pad onto the card base which is cut with one of the Stitched Circle dies . Wanting to try no-line watercoloring (a new technique for me), I cut watercolor paper using one of the Stitched Circle dies and stamped the image with a very light ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Here's where the adventure began! I'm so accustomed to outlining images, that I outlined this one too, with a copic...well, that sort of defeated the purpose of  'no-line' - LOL!  Instead of putting the image into the 'reject' pile, I went with the flow and spritzed the image with water to see what that would do.  Well, that didn't look right either so I added clear embossing powder to the whole thing and heat embossed it.  Whatever this 'technique' I've created is, I may not be repeating it :)  Thankfully, this is such a gorgeous image that I think this still looks ok -- what do you think?

Now, onto my second try at no-line watercoloring...

For this card, I layered dark brown cardstock and a pattern from the Sunrise paper pad, cut the opening using one of the Stitched Circle dies then adhered to the card base.  I stamped the image on a watercolor paper circle cut with one of the Stitched Circle dies with a light ink and used the no-line coloring technique (my skill level is a work in progress!)

For both cards, I used the sentiments from the stamp set and cut it out using one of the banner dies included in the coordinating Sweet Bouquet Dies.

Hope you'll follow us via email, Facebook and/or Instagram so you're sure to catch all the projects the DT shares...not to mention, you'll be among the first to hear about deals and specials!
