Sing To The Lord

Friday, June 14, 2019

Every morning - at 4:00 am - the birds who have nested in our trees wake up and sing!  I think they are singing God's praises and even at that early time of the day, it's really beautiful!

For my card, I began with cutting cardstock using the Tri-Fold card die and cut papers from the Notable Notes pad using the layers dies in the die set.

I then used one of the Circle dies to cut the light blue cardstock that I placed behind the 'world' die cut from the new Globe & Stand dies set.

I stamped the sentiment from the new Color My World set onto white cardstock cut with one of the Circles dies and layered with purple paper cut from one of the Scalloped Circle dies then adhered to the front of the Tri-Fold card. To finish, I added the Musical Notes dies cut from Notable Notes paper and cardstock.

National Iced Tea Day!

Monday, June 10, 2019

Happy National Iced Tea Day!  The Coffee Loving Cardmakers are thrilled to be collaborating with Super Sponsor SugarPea Designs on a super fun blog hop!  Leave comments along the way for a chance to win a $25 SugarPea Designs Gift Card, the more comments that you leave, the greater chance to win! Commenting closes on Saturday, June 15th at 11:59pm Pacific. Look for the winner announcement on the blog the following week.

For my first card, I layered green cardstock and two different pattern papers to the card base.  Using Reverse Confetti's See Through Tag die, I cut white and yellow cardstock to create a backdrop.  The 'iced tea' cup was made with SugarPea Designs Coffee to Go Dies and the 'ice cubes' are from MFT.  These adorable images and sentiment are from SugarPea Designs Pucker Up set.

I love iced tea!  My preference is green or black tea and unsweetened...hope my southern friends will forgive me as I know how much they love sweet tea!

My next card also features the SugarPea Designs Pucker Up set.  I first layered kraft and MFT pattern paper onto the card base.  As a backdrop, I cut white cardstock from Reverse Confetti's Stitched Hex Tag die.  The darling images are copic colored and I added some glaze on the pitcher and glass to look like condensation.

Hope you enjoy seeing the fabulous projects along the hop...and remember to leave a little love along the way!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Thank You Coffee

Saturday, June 8, 2019

Hey, there Coffee/Tea fans and welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!  I'm thrilled you decided to stop in today to see what's brewing!

Honestly, it isn't often that I 'ooh, ahh' over my own work, but this STAMPlorations set is so gorgeous and just came to life after the image was colored in that I even surprised myself :)

To start, I layered kraft cardstock on to the card base then two patterns from Bo Bunny Stay Awhile 6x6 pad.  Using one of the Stitched Tags Nesting Dies, I cut kraft cardstock for a backdrop.

This lovely coffee cup and floral image from STAMPlorations Thank You Coffee set is copic colored and fussy cut.  To finish, I stamped the sentiment from this set and added grape colored embellishments.

Super Sponsor STAMPlorations is currently having a 6th Birthday sale now through the end of June on all products in the Birthday Section.

Hey, there, Pink & Main fans!  Hope you've been enjoying the May Release projects the Design Team has been sharing - it's such an awesome release and the set I'm highlighting today is perfect for those weddings and anniversaries you may have coming up!

For my card, I first layered a light pink cardstock to the card base then half-layered a pattern paper from the beautiful Watercolor Foil paper pad.  Using one of the Stitched Top Note dies, I cut white cardstock as a backdrop for these gorgeous images from the Happily Ever After stamp set and coordinating dies. I used a gold pen to fill in some of the small circle images and covered with glaze to make them shiny and raised up.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment from this set and added Rose Gold Glossy Dots.

Divinity Designs June Release is Here!

Saturday, June 1, 2019

Yippee - Divinity Designs June Release is here and it's fabulous!

I remember the summer before my daughter started college.  We were so excited for the adventure awaiting her!  For my card, I layered a pattern from the Chalkboard Collection paper pad onto the card base.  I used the new Globe & Stand dies then arranged these fun die cuts using the Clipboard Set Dies.  The sentiment is from the new Adventure Awaits sentiment stamp set.

Living in central Ohio, it's OSU Buckeye country!  The Ohio State University colors are scarlet and gray and those are the colors I used on my next card.

I first layered black cardstock cut from one of the Scalloped Rectangles Dies onto the card base.  I then cut a neutral pattern from the Menswear Material Collection paper pad using one of the Pierced Rectangles Dies.  The new USA Map Die is so fun and has lots of little extras!!  Such a great die to use for travel, missing you, 4th of July and more!  The new America The Beautiful stamp set has the perfect sentiments to coordinate with this die set, too!  I stamped one of these sentiments on red cardstock cut from one of the Scalloped Circles Dies.

You'll want to stop by the Divinity Designs blog to view the entire release complete with video and special bundle offers!
