Happy Bee-day

Wednesday, August 28, 2019

I celebrated my birthday this week - yay me!  My family and I had a very nice day together enjoying the last days of summer.

For my card, I layered yellow cardstock onto the card base.  I then cut black cardstock using the Basket die and layered it on top.  These little guys from the Bee Day set just make me happy!  Using one of the Postage Dies, I cut black cardstock as a backdrop.  The new Special Day Sentiment set has so many awesome sayings it was hard choosing, but I went with these and stamped on red cardstock then cut with the appropriate size die from the new Strip Sentiment Dies!

More People Like You

Tuesday, August 27, 2019

We all know people we wish we could clone -- or at least give lessons on how to be a kind, loving, caring person like no other!  I'm blessed to know many folks like this and they inspire me to be better every day!

For my card, I cut Iced Aqua cardstock with the Diagonal Stitches Cover Plate and adhered to the card base.  The pretty flowers and leaves are from the new Bold Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies.  I chose one of the sentiments from the So Many Sentiments set which I gold embossed on Midnight cardstock.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration!

Divinity Designs Vintage Country

Friday, August 23, 2019

I've really enjoyed creating with this month's Divinity Designs release!  Each time I created a project, my mind took a lovely trip to the country - and being a city girl, it was like taking a little vacation!

For my card, I wanted to create a country vintage theme so I used mostly browns, tans and cream colors.  First, I layered one of the patterns in the Weathered Wood paper pad and adhered to the full card base.  I then cut different cardstock using the Barn Dies and offset it on the card; the same with the Farm Fence die cut.

For the 'framed' piece, I created a frame using a couple Squares Dies cut from brown cardstock.  I cut brown cardstock using the Chicken Wire Background Die and swiped white ink across it, cut to fit the frame and layered kraft cardstock to the back of the frame.

The image and sentiment are from the Rise & Shine set which were stamped on cream cardstock and cut with the Circles Dies.  The sentiment circle was then layered with brown cardstock cut from one of the Scalloped Circles Dies.

Here are the products used on my card....

You've Got This!

Wednesday, August 21, 2019

My niece is heading off to college this week!  I remember when my daughter left for college and all those emotions we felt...excitement, anxiety, proud, thrilled and, yes, a little scared.  I'm certain after she gets settled in, she'll begin to enjoy one of the most memorable adventures of her life...I wish I could go with her :)

For my card, I first cut white cardstock using one of the Stitched Rectangle Set 1 dies and blended bright ink using the Four Point Stars stencil.  Then, I added a strip of rainbow paper from the new Summer Splash paper pad.  The adorable image is from the Travel Buddy stamp set and coordinating dies.

This month's release is so awesome!  I adore all the fantastic sentiments and the Sentiment Banner Dies are absolutely perfect...creating and adding sentiments to projects has never been easier!!  I used the Going Places stamp set and Sentiment Banner Dies here.

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Feel Better

Saturday, August 17, 2019

Hey, there Coffee Loving Cardmaker fans and welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe!  I'm so glad you decided to stop in today to see what's brewin'.

I'd be hard pressed to go without coffee - it always makes me feel good.  However, when I've got to sniffles or feel run down, there's nothing better than a hot cup of tea to help make things right.

For my cards today, I used Echo Park Coffee paper pad on both.  This is one of my favorite paper pads - even if it wasn't called 'Coffee'!  The colors and patterns are so pretty.

For my first card, I layered a strip of one of the patterns onto the cardbase.  The pretty cups were created using Elizabeth Crafts Teacup Dies to cut several patterns from the paper pad.  This sentiment is one of my favorites and it's from Lil Inker Designs Coffee Talk 2 set.

For my next card, I used patterns from the Echo Park Coffee paper pad and navy cardstock adhering strips to the card base.  Two of my favorite MFT products were used here:  Feel Better stamps and coordinating dies plus Tea Party dies.  I stamped one of the sentiments onto the bottom paper strip.

Thinking of You

The new Pink & Main August Release is almost here and it's filled with the perfect sentiments for every occasion!

For my card, I first cut lime green cardstock with one of the Stitched Rectangle Set 1 dies and adhered to the card base.  Using paper from the new Summer Splash Paper Pad, I cut a piece using another die from the Stitched Rectangle Set 1 for the bottom half.  I cut coral cardstock using the Floral Mail Die as the 'frame', cut the matching pattern paper for the 'envelope' and white cardstock for the floral part.

Using the new Just Because stamp set, I stamped the 'thinking of you' sentiment onto the pattern paper then white embossed the other sentiments onto black cardstock.  I then cut out the sentiments using the new Sentiment Banner Dies!

Be sure to check out the Pink & Main blog for more sneak peeks the rest of the Design Team will be sharing!  The new release will be available on August 20th!!
