You Color My World

Friday, June 21, 2019

You gotta love a rainbow of colors!  Divinity Designs June release inspired me to use lots of bright colors.

First, I layered purple cardstock onto the card base.  I cut white cardstock using one of the Pierced Rectangles dies then, using the new Bubbles stencil, blended a rainbow of colors to create the background.

I cut black cardstock for the 'frame' of the new Globe & Stand die, then cut several colors of cardstock using the same die.  With the inlaid die technique, I 'colored' in the globe.  To finish, I cut yellow cardstock with one of the Scalloped Circles dies and stamped the sentiment from the new Color My World stamp set on white cardstock cut with one of the Circles dies.

Pink & Main June Release - It's Finstastic!

Yippee!!  Pink & Main's June Release is here and it's FIN-tastic!

The new release has 4 super summer fun stamp sets with coordinating dies, 3 new Reverse Scallop shape dies, a new Summer Decor die set to coordinate with the Wreath Base die, a perfect stencil to coordinate with the release and check out the new The Shore paper pad - wow!

For my card, I created a watercolor background using Color Burst powders.  I stamped, cut and copic colored the fish, plant, and shell images from the new Fintastic stamp set and coordinating dies then added a few sequins.

Using one of the new Reverse Scallop Rectangle die, I cut navy blue cardstock and placed a piece of acetate behind it.  I then 'popped up' the frame and placed it on top of the ocean scene.  It's hard to see in the pictures, but the card looks like the fish are in an aquarium.

Be sure to follow Pink & Main via email/blog, Facebook and/or Instagram so you won't miss any projects the design team shares...not to mention, you'll be among the first to hear about deals and specials!

Pink & Main Sneak Peek: Starfish Wishes

Sunday, June 16, 2019

Without a doubt, my favorite vacation spot must have sand and sea!  I grew up near a beach and now that I live land-locked, I miss is so much.  Creating this card with some of Pink & Main's upcoming release products (available on June 20th) brought back many happy memories that I could almost smell the salt water!

Wait til you see the new The Shore Paper Pad - you're gonna love it!  I layered two of the patterns and cut with Stitched Rectangles #1 dies for the background.  I then made a shaker using another pattern as the backdrop and cut thin cork using one of the new Reverse Scallop Circle dies.

How cute is this little mermaid on her seahorse friend?!!  The image and sentiment both are included in the new Starfish Wishes set with coordinating dies!

Divinity Designs June DT Color Challenge

Saturday, June 15, 2019

It's time for Divinity Designs Design Team Color Combo Challenge!  This month's color combo was inspired by the colors in the Spring Flowers 2019 Paper Pad...

For my card, I cut white cardstock using one of the Pierced Rectangle Dies and then blended pink, yellow and lavender inks using the Flower Burst stencil to create a background.

Using papers in the Spring Flowers 2019 Paper Pad, I used the Alphabet Flags die to create the 'happy' banner.  Then I used the Birthday Stamp/Die duo to cut the 'birthday' word and stamp the 'to you' sentiment.

You'll want to check out the Divinity Design blog and enjoy the fabulous projects the rest of the design team is sharing today!

Sing To The Lord

Friday, June 14, 2019

Every morning - at 4:00 am - the birds who have nested in our trees wake up and sing!  I think they are singing God's praises and even at that early time of the day, it's really beautiful!

For my card, I began with cutting cardstock using the Tri-Fold card die and cut papers from the Notable Notes pad using the layers dies in the die set.

I then used one of the Circle dies to cut the light blue cardstock that I placed behind the 'world' die cut from the new Globe & Stand dies set.

I stamped the sentiment from the new Color My World set onto white cardstock cut with one of the Circles dies and layered with purple paper cut from one of the Scalloped Circle dies then adhered to the front of the Tri-Fold card. To finish, I added the Musical Notes dies cut from Notable Notes paper and cardstock.

National Iced Tea Day!

Monday, June 10, 2019

Happy National Iced Tea Day!  The Coffee Loving Cardmakers are thrilled to be collaborating with Super Sponsor SugarPea Designs on a super fun blog hop!  Leave comments along the way for a chance to win a $25 SugarPea Designs Gift Card, the more comments that you leave, the greater chance to win! Commenting closes on Saturday, June 15th at 11:59pm Pacific. Look for the winner announcement on the blog the following week.

For my first card, I layered green cardstock and two different pattern papers to the card base.  Using Reverse Confetti's See Through Tag die, I cut white and yellow cardstock to create a backdrop.  The 'iced tea' cup was made with SugarPea Designs Coffee to Go Dies and the 'ice cubes' are from MFT.  These adorable images and sentiment are from SugarPea Designs Pucker Up set.

I love iced tea!  My preference is green or black tea and unsweetened...hope my southern friends will forgive me as I know how much they love sweet tea!

My next card also features the SugarPea Designs Pucker Up set.  I first layered kraft and MFT pattern paper onto the card base.  As a backdrop, I cut white cardstock from Reverse Confetti's Stitched Hex Tag die.  The darling images are copic colored and I added some glaze on the pitcher and glass to look like condensation.

Hope you enjoy seeing the fabulous projects along the hop...and remember to leave a little love along the way!
