You're TEArrific!

Saturday, February 2, 2019

Welcome to the weekend and the Saturday Coffee Café.  I’m thrilled you are here because I’m sharing a little something special created just for you!

While coffee is my beverage of choice, I do occasionally enjoy relaxing with of good cup of tea!  My grandmother was an avid tea drinker which she’d always have with a few Social Tea biscuits.  She lived next door to us in the same apartment building and in the afternoons after school, I’d join her for a cup and a chat!

For my card, I layered Reverse Confetti Flamingo cardstock with two different patterns from the Pebbles Spring Fling paper pad onto the card base.  I then cut white cardstock using one of the Reverse Confetti’s Lacy Scallop Circles dies for the teacup backdrop.  These sweet teacups, macarons and sentiment are from Jane’s Doodles TEArrific stamp set.  I paper pieced the teacups using other patterns in the Pebbles Spring Fling paper pad and copic colored the teabag, macarons and hearts.  The sentiment was white embossed on Midnight black cardstock.

Hope you have a TEArrific day!

Divinity Designs February Release Day

Friday, February 1, 2019

Exciting happenings today...it's the new Divinity Designs February Release! The release is filled with beautiful spring and Easter-themed products plus new dies and paper pad!!

For my first card, I cut light green cardstock with one of the Pierced Rectangles Dies then used the Flourishes Embossing Folder.  For the layers, I cut designs/colors from the new Spring Flowers Collection paper pad with the new Scalloped Rectangles Dies and Scalloped Oval Dies.  These lovely tulip images are from the new Glorious Easter stamp set and the words from the new Happy Easter Word Dies.

I have one more project to share...

For my next card, I cut green cardstock with one of the Rectangles Dies and used a design from the new Spring Flowers Collection paper pad cut with one of the new Scalloped Rectangles Dies.  To 'highlight' the new John 3:16 stamp image cut with one of the Rectangles Dies, I cut a piece of black cardstock with one of the new Scalloped Rectangles Dies.

The little flowers and leaves were made with dies included in the Festive Favors Dies set.  The flowers were cut from papers in the Spring Flowers Collection paper pad and the leaves, from green cardstock.

You'll want to stop by the Divinity Designs blog to view the entire release complete with video and special bundle offers!

Reverse Confetti February Stock Your Stash Challenge

Happy February!  2019 is in full swing and hope you are well on your way to making this an awesome year!  This month's Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash challenge theme is all about creating a card to uplift, encourage or give a pat on the back...

Check out all the details on the Reverse Confetti blog and click on  The Play To Win button.  There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of the monthly challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog at the end of the month.

For my card, I began by cutting Premier Polar White cardstock with the Stitched Rays Cover Panel and blending in a few distress oxide inks then adhering to the card base.

I'm in love with the new Big Bear stamp set and this sweet bear which I copic colored. The Big Bear die makes cuts around the bear's 'paws' which makes it so easy to have him hold things...like the kite string on my card! The Kite, Clouds and Sentiment are from the Take Flight stamp set and coordinating dies.

Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Nineteen caring Sponsors and eleven DT Members have partnered with us to bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome

My TS related project uses a few colors from the TS official color board and a STAMPlorations stamp set specially created for the hop... It's A Girl Thing: Kindness

HOW TO WIN:

  • Leave a comment on the TS Awareness Home Blog Post stating at least one thing you learned about Turner Syndrome. Our Tab titled About Turner Syndrome has a pictorial explanation of many of the symptoms or limitations faced by TS females.
  • Leave a comment on one or more DT blog hop posts.
  • Prizes will be awarded randomly from the comments left on 19 of the DT blog hop posts + by 11 of the designers who are awarding prizes of their own. So the more posts you visit and comment on, the more likely you are to win a prize. Don't forget! You must also leave one comment on the Home Blog, too.
  • We hope this will bring an awareness not only about Turner Syndrome in females, but that if any human being seems a bit out of the ordinary, there could be a health-related or genetic reason for it, and it would be nice to give everyone the benefit of the doubt in our daily lives.
