Birthday Wish

Saturday, June 9, 2018

Little elephants are so darn cute!  Several years ago, a baby elephant was born at our zoo and we went to see him.  Oh my goodness, he was amazing and so small in comparison to his mama.  I was so glad we got to the opportunity to experience the miracle of a baby elephant!

My card features several goodies from My Favorite Things.  I first cut white cardstock using the Pierced Rectangle Frame and stamped some splatters on the center cut piece.   I used the Wish die to cut the blue, peach and yellow cardstock.  For the "i", I used this little cutie from the Adorable Elephants set that I copic colored.  To finish, I added some clear sequins.

Reverse Confetti Summer Fun Blog Hop

Friday, June 8, 2018

Hooray for Summer!  My daughter reminded me that last year at this time we were on our 'girls' long weekend at the beach...gosh, I wish I were back there!  There's nothing like the ocean breeze, white foam waves hitting the sandy shore and bright sunshine!

Reverse Confetti's Blog Hop is celebrating Summer Fun and the Design Team has created a fabulous collection of warm and wonderful summer-themed inspiration!  Come hop with us...

For my card, I created an ocean theme (because I really do want to be there :)  First, I made the waves using the Doin' The Wave Confetti Cut and cut Navy, RC Aqua, Mist and Baby Blue Cardstock and placed them on the Premier Polar card base.  I added the frame using Mist Cardstock cut with the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts.  The cute whale and octopus images are from the very fun Seaside stamp set and coordinating dies. The bright sunshine and center sentiment were made with the the My Sunshine stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts.  The puffy clouds were cut with the Sun 'n Clouds dies and the edges sponged with Mist ink.

Rainbow Coffee Cups

Friday, June 1, 2018

The Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop is just about over :(  I so love these hops and would like to give a special shout out to Amy Tsuruta who makes these so much fun for us and works tirelessly on them (I swear, the woman doesn't sleep!)  THANKS for everything, Amy!!

For my card, I used this adorable coffee cup die from Taylored Expressions creating a rainbow coffee cup wreath.  All of TE's Little Bits dies are super cute and really pack a punch!  The 'coffee' die is from Verve...and if you haven't heard the news, Julee is closing Verve Stamps to spend time with her twin boys (I know, a good reason, but will miss her awesome designs!)  Right now, all products in the Verve store are 55% off!!

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration...

Feel Better

All good things come to an end and the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers bloghop has just a few more hours left.  Hope you've had the chance to play along and if not, still check out the over 1,200 entries -- SO much inspiration!!

For my card, I chose some pretty pattern paper to create a simple background.  I then used some wonderful products from MFT Stamps -  Die-Namics Tea Party!  The sentiment is also from MTF called Feel Better.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration:

1) Use 2 or more Pattern Papers
2) Link Up to the Coffee Lovers Bloghop

Reverse Confetti June Stock Your Stash Challenge

Hello Summer!  June is here and so is a new Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge!!  This month's card making theme:  Hello/Just Because.

Check out all the details on the Reverse Confetti blog and click on  The Play To Win button.  There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of the monthly challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog at the end of the month.

For my card, I first layered a piece of Rose Cardstock to the Premier Polar White Cardstock base then pattern paper designs from Paper Bliss (top) and Every Little Bit (bottom) 6x6 paper pads.  Then, I cut Premier Polar White Cardstock using the medium sized Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti Cuts.  The sweet birdies and birdhouse images are from The Tweet Life stamp and coordinating Confetti Cuts.  The 'hello' word is from Midnight Cardstock using the Fancy Words Confetti Cuts collection.

I'm happy to be playing in these challenges that also inspired my card...

Hope you'll join the fun this month -- looking forward to seeing what YOU create!

One Layer - Akkk!!

Well, I did it.  I made a (gasp) CAS one layer card.  Talk about discipline.  No pattern paper, no layering, no sequins, no popping up -- no way!  Oh, and it's watercolored - another challenge for me.  Yet, here it is!

Thanks to STAMPlorations, I had a very pretty set to use that allowed me to add lots of color.  This lovely, new set is called Hello Coffee and you can be sure I'll be using it again (with layers and pop ups!)  The sentiment is from the Bloom Happy set.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration (and the challenge!)
