Pink & Main August Release is Here!

Monday, August 20, 2018

Today is the day!  The Pink & Main August release is now available!

For my card, I layered dark brown cardstock to the card base and created a background piece by sponging a light tan ink and adding brown splatters.  I cut two different green cardstock colors using the new Basic Wreath Die.  The sweet little pumpkins, leaves, acorns and owl are from the new Fall Wreath Decor Dies.

Pink & Main August Sneek Peak!

Sunday, August 19, 2018

Hello Pink & Main fans!  Today I'm sharing a sneak peek of the new August release which will be available in the store tomorrow!!

The new release is full of wonderful fall goodness!  Hope you’ve been following the Pink & Main Blog this week and enjoying the fabulous creations the Design Team has been sharing!

My card features two awesome new goodies:  Fall Friends and Basket Cover Die. To start, I created a watercolor background base and cut the new Basket Cover die from dark brown cardstock and adhered to the base.  I cut white cardstock from one of the Stitched Circle dies and sponged with blue and brown distressed oxide ink.  Then the real fun part – coloring this adorable hedgehog, pumpkin and leaves from the Fall Friends set.   The sentiment, from the same set, was gold embossed on brown cardstock.

Back To School

Saturday, August 18, 2018

Back to school.  My daughter is heading into her college senior year and this will be the last 'back to school' for us.  I seriously cannot wrap my head around this reality -- I feel like we just sent her off to kindergarten!!  From the time she went into middle school, I swear time sped up even faster than before...and here I go getting all weepy again :)  Here's to a fabulous year for all the kids, parents and teachers heading Back To School!

For my card, I used several fun products from Reverse Confetti!  To start, I layered a piece of Salsa cardstock to the Premier Polar White cardstock base.  Using designs from the Fright Night pattern paper pad, I layered the star design piece to the bottom and for the top part of the card, I cut the dotted design using one of the Edger Confetti Cuts.  Using the same die, I cut Bubblebee cardstock; trimming off the scallop edge and adding it to the lower part.

The 'globe' was created by cutting gold cardstock with the Globe Confetti Cuts and instead of a 'world', I used an apple image from All Apples stamp set and coordinating dies.  I also added the pencils and little book worm both from the Worm Wishes stamp set which also has coordinating dies.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration and letting me share!

Saturday Coffee Cafe - My Cup of Tea

Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Café!  You stopped in at a great time as there’s some TEA-riffic things brewing…

Coffee is my beverage of choice, but I do love a rich brewed iced tea.  I haven’t tried making sun tea, but I hear that’s pretty tasty too.  Maybe because I like black coffee/no sugar, that I don’t really like anything in my iced tea, but Arnold Palmer’s are pretty darn good, too!

For my card, I created the background sponging Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and stenciled Walnut Stain using Tim Holtz Speckle stencil.  These adorable images are from Sweet Stamp Shop that I got on clearance recently (gotta love that!).
