You Are Loved

Sunday, February 4, 2018

I got a bit inky and messy today...and I LOVED it!  It's been a while since I played like this and used some products that needed to see a little love :)...So much fun!!  The kind of fun that only my fellow crafters truly understand!

For the background, I used the shaving cream technique with pink and red inks.  Using Reverse Confetti's Hearts Stencil, I applied matte embossing paste and added gold embossing paste to the hearts giving them texture.  The sentiment from Reverse Confetti's One Day At A Time sentiment set was white embossed on Dark Roast cardstock.  To finish, I added some gold cord behind the sentiment and used Reverse Confetti 'xoxo' die from the Fancy Words Confetti Cuts set.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration:

Hogs & Kisses

This little piggy...is celebrating Valentine's Day!  The year is already flying, but the good thing about that is it's closer to Spring (snow, cold - I'm not a fan!)  January was just too hectic at work at I'm looking forward to more 'normalcy' that February is offering so far - like getting more time in my craft room.  Gotta LOVE that!

These adorable piggies from Reverse Confetti's Cured stamps/dies bring lots of 'hogs and kisses'.  I created the uber pink background using distressed oxide inks.  The sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Heart Filled Sentiment set was white embossed on black cardstock.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration:

Saturday Coffee Cafe - Cuppa Cactus

Saturday, February 3, 2018

Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Café – I’m so glad you stopped by!

To say I’m not a morning person is an understatement.  My family (and co-workers) know that until that first (or 2nd) cup of coffee has kicked in, it’s ‘no talkie to me’ time!  That is, if they want a kind, intelligible response :)

This darling set, Cuppa Cactus from Newton’s Nook Designs, really says it all!  The background of my card was created with Distress Oxide Inks and a spritz of water.  The cute little cactus in a cup image was copic colored.

Off to make the morning ‘pricklies’ go away with another cup of java!  See you next time!

Reverse Confetti February Sketch For You To Try

Let's celebrate...it's time for a new Reverse Confetti Sketch For You To Try!  I have so many 'celebrations' this year; my daughter's BFF is having a baby, my godchildren are making Confirmation and First Holy Communion plus this year's birthday's, holidays and anniversaries!
There is a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month. The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 28th. The SFYTT button is posted on the sidebar.  Click on it to be taken to the current SFYTT post and link list. There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog at the end of the month.

For my card, I chose several Reverse Confetti new release goodies plus a few other favorites!  I stared by layering a pattern paper from the Forever My Love pad onto a piece of Dark Road cardstock.  The Tall Stripe Panel was cut from Stone cardstock and I placed a piece of Sand cardstock behind it.  The sweet cheetah (or leopard as some think it resembles) is from the new Heart Spots stamp set/die.   The balloons were cut from a couple Forvever My Love pattern paper and gold shiny cardstock using Congratulations Confetti Cuts and 'tied' with Natural Twine.  The sentiment from Congratulations was stamped on Rose cardstock

Hope you'll join the fun - can't wait to see what you create!!
