It's been such an honor and pleasure to be Dare 2B Artzy's February guest designer....thank you, Cindy and Kendra! There are so many wonderful stamps, dies and pattern paper in the store and I've had so much fun playing with some of the newest goodies which reminded me of spring (which can't get here soon enough for me)!
My first card today features April Showers. I love this darling little girl and her cute rain boots, raincoat and umbrella! I created a 'stormy' background with distress oxide inks and added the rainbow cut from cardstock. I stamped the girl image on the card and then popped up a copic colored image on top to give a 3D effect. The puddle and raindrops were colored and then I added glaze to make the appearance of water.
This first card took a little bit of time to put together, but the second card (below) took no time at all. Both cards were so much fun to create!
For this card, I layered pink and blue cardstock then added the bright yellow piece cut with the new Trellis Background Die. The pretty plaid pattern paper is from the Summertime Petals Collection. The vases were actually cut from the Pitcher This Paper pattern using the Water Pitcher Dies! Doesn't get easier than that! The sentiment from the Refresh The Soul stamp set is white embossed.
Many of the new papers have dies that coordinate with images making it super easy to create cards, scrapbook pages, tags and more! Hope you'll stop by the Dare 2B Artzy store and check 'em out!
