Reverse Confetti October Blog Hop

Sunday, October 8, 2017

Welcome to Reverse Confetti's October Blog Hop!

We finally got some cooler temps in the midwest after record-breaking heat in the high 80's.  I'm ready for 'sweater weather' and seeing the leaves change.  You know, like it's - autumn!

For my autumn card, I used the new Leaf Lattice Cover Panel  which I cut from Lime Green cardstock and placed on the bottom part of the base.  As a layering piece, I cut Dark Roast cardstock using one of the Lacy Scallop Frame dies.  I love this wreath and pretty flowers from the Fall For You stamp set and coordinating dies!  The smaller Tag Duo was cut from Rust cardstock and tied on with Cappuccino twine.  The sentiment is from the new Autumn Blessings set.

Be sure to continue hopping onto the rest of the  Design Team members' blogs to see the amazing projects and leave them a little love!

Let's Cuddle

It's felt more like summer than fall these last few weeks, but cuddling is good in any kind of weather!

For this simple card, I used a wood grain embossing folder on a strip of kraft cardstock.  The sweet, cuddly fox is from an older My Favorite Things set: Cute Critters.  For the leaves, I created a watercolor piece of cardstock and used the leave dies from the set's coordinating dies.  The sentiment is from another older MFT set: Let's Get Cozy.  I made a matching envelope using the leaf images.

A Present for You

Saturday, October 7, 2017

Who doesn't like presents!  I remember being a little girl and wrapping up my toys in tissue paper or whatever I could find and pretend it was my birthday just so I could open up presents :)

I love this box die from My Favorite Things - it's 3-D and so much fun to put together.  And you have to have balloons at a celebration, so I had these two coming out of the box.  The 'cheers' word die is also from My Favorite Things - one of my favorites!

Rainbow Panda

Happy World Cardmaking Day!   I had planned to be in my craft room all day to celebrate, but other commitments had to come first.  Good news is I have the rest of the evening to play!  Hope you found some time today to commemorate OUR day to make cards!

For my card, I chose a background die - Split Chevron Cover Up - from My Favorite Things and cut a rainbow of cardstock to inlay the die.  The adorable panda is from MFT's Sushi Date set and the sentiment which I stamped on vellum is from the Let's Get Cozy set.

It's A STAMPlorations Christmas

Wednesday, October 4, 2017

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at STAMPlorations!  Shery has added a sleigh full of new, wonderful Christmas Typografia stamps to the STAMPlorations line up!  And to celebrate, we're having a Christmas Typografia hop!

Prize: One lucky commenter will win her choice of 3 Typografia Christmas stamps. The winner will be randomly drawn from all comments left on the STAMPlorations blog and participating designers' blog.  Commenting closes on Monday, October 9.  Winner will be announed on October 10th.

Special deal:  The Christmas Typographia stamps are currently 5% off, but for stopping by my blog, you can get them at an additional 20% off when they use STAMPGIRLKATHY code !!!

For my first card, I used the All Ye Faithful Christmas Typographia stamp set which is gold embossed.  The bottom was created using the Poinsettia Row stamp.

The Typographia stamps make creating a project super easy and are so versatile (check out the other Design Team members projects for even more inspiration!) not to mention the sentiments themselves are fabulous!

For my next card, I created a watercolor background panel and stamped the Blessed Christmas Typographic stamp and layered onto a shiny silver cardstock base.  The pretty ornament used is a die from the CUTplorations collectionChristmas Baubles #2 Layering Dies.

So come join the hop for a chance to win!  And remember, you'll receive 20% off all STAMPlorations products by using the code:

Paper Sweeties October Inspirational Challenge

Sunday, October 1, 2017

Welcome to Paper Sweeties' October Inspiration Challenge!

Our challenges are always Anything Goes and you don't need to use Paper Sweeties products -- all are welcome!  You can link your submission from the Paper Sweeties Blog or on our Facebook page.  There's a $25 gift certificate up for grabs for this month's winner!  Hope you'll join the fun!

For my card, I created the background with distressed oxide inks.  I used the Scarecrow Stand Add-On stamp set and coordinating dies - although I think this happy guy is anything but scary - and place him on a stick in the pumpkin  patch.  The pumpkin patch was created using this wonderful Fall/Thanksgiving set and coordinating dies: Thankful.  The wonderful sentiment is also from the Thankful set.

Check out the fun projects the rest of the Design Team has to share with you!
