This was my first attempt at creating a tri-fold card...so much fun! ODBD carries pre-cut fold cards which makes it incredibly easy and takes out all the fuss of trying to cut your own from a template!

Summer is in full swing in my part of the world. We've had unprecedented rainfall and intense storms this summer which has been daunting at times, but the good part of all that rain is everything is so full of color! The grass, trees, flowers and local produce is incredible!

Reverse Confetti's August Blog Hop is also full of color as each of the Confetti Crew is sharing a Color Me Mine project inspired by a color combo that caught their eye. Here's my inspiration:

For my card, I place Midnight Cardstock on the base and layered on the background piece using the new Squared Off Cover Panel cut from Cloud White Cardstock. The yummy berries and sentiment from the new Berry Sweet set were stamped on Salsa Cardstock. For the stems, I stamped with Avocado and for the flowers, Bumblebee. Our sweet panda friend poking out of the strawberry patch is from the Miso Happy set.

Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe featured on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog -- so glad to see you!

This sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs just makes me laugh. There may be times of the day that are too early for wine, but thankfully for me, it's never too late in the day for coffee! I used to take a cup to bed at night, but I've gotten much better and usually have my last cup after dinner these days.

I played around with some Distressed & Oxide Inks and created the background that came out looking like wine and coffee colors. Just love working with those inks because I never know exactly what I'm going to get, yet always pleasantly surprised!

Pretty In Pink

It took a while, but after 23 years of marriage, my husband got the 'hint' that I love any color roses except red! This past Mother's Day, I received a gorgeous bouquet of pink roses which meant so much to me -- not necessarily the flowers which were lovely -- but the fact that I'd been heard! Ahh, sometimes it really is the little things that count :)

For my card I layered a deep rose cardstock behind this rose background die I found at a garage sale. The lovely blooms are from Altnew Painted Flowers stamp/die set and the sentiment is from a retired Reverse Confetti stamp/die set.

Tonight I got to play a little with the new Distress Oxide Ink colors -- ooh! Can't wait to make some colorful backgrounds, but for now, a bit of rainbow will do! Love these inks!!

For my card, I used the larger die from My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX die then added the rainbow inked piece. The heart 'notes' are from Casual Friday s . I honestly cannot recall where I got the 'love' word die :)
