Snowflakes

Tuesday, October 24, 2017

Going from sunny 80 degree weather a week ago to rainy 49 degree temps today felt like it could have snowed.  My body is not ready for this -- at least not ready for such a sudden drop in temps, but I am glad to be wearing sweaters!

I got to get a little messy tonight.  The background of my card was created by watercoloring with several colors of Distressed Oxide ink and some spritz of water.  The delicate snowflakes were made with a stencil I made out of Reverse Confetti Snowflake Trio dies which I layered embossing paste over.  The 'let it snow' words is a STAMPlorations phrase die.  I then added large, clear sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Trick or Treat Ghoulies

Sunday, October 22, 2017

Candy is in the house!  With a little more than a week away from Halloween, I think I can hold out and not open any of the bags!  Looking forward to giving it (all) away to the little ghoulies who come Trick or Treating!

For my card, I used some new 'ghoulies' from Reverse Confetti.  The adorable little monsters are from the new Monsterous set that are Copic colored.  The spider web was cut out from the Web Tag Layer die.  The sentiment from Haunt It was stamped on the smaller Tag Duo die.  I used two cut out strips of colored cardstock using the Wonky Stripe Panel die and placed on the bottom piece.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

It is that time...pumpkin everything!  I'm not a big pumpkin flavored gal, but I can get into pumpkin bread or pumpkin pie with no trouble!

When I was cleaning up my craft room yesterday, I found a pallet of shimmery watercolor paints that I haven't used yet.  So I decided to play!  After gold embossing these sweet pumpkins (from Right At Home's How Have You Bean? set), I watercolored using those shimmery paints.  I like how they produce such soft colors.  I then sprinkled on some gold spray using a paint brush and added gold sequins.  The sentiment was white embossed on black cardstock.

Brave, Brilliant, Resilient

Brave.  Brilliant. Resilient.  This sentiment stamp from Reverse Confetti carries with it encouragement and a cause. All of the profits from this set are going to  "The Pink Fund" they offer financial support to women going through breast cancer treatment.

For my card, I cut pink cardstock using Reverse Confetti Striped Frame Cover Panel die.  One of my favorite flower stamps is from Cas-ual Fridays Pretty Posies. And the sentiment which I spoke about above, is from Reverse Confetti's One Day At A Time set.

Here Comes Fa La La

Saturday, October 21, 2017

Fa La La time is right around the corner!  I know, we have two other holidays before Christmas, but I'm like a kid come October and can't wait!

My card was created with several new Reverse Confetti goodies starting with the side panel using a design from the Warm Heart paper pad.  I love the Fa La La Circle die which I paired with the Boo To You Circle die.  This sweet gift-giving bear and birdies are from the Christmas Bear stamp set and coordinating dies.
