Although I'm a city girl (born and raised in New York!), I could not resist these darling farm animals from My Favorite Things Farm Friends set!

  

 

 I first thought I'd create a card with a little farm scene, but decided on a few other projects.  These stinkin' cute farm animals are the perfect size for paper clip toppers and sweet gift cards, too!

Birthday Flowers

 While in the midst of cleaning up my craft room (some major Spring cleaning), I needed to take a break and create!!  I broke out this beautiful set from Concord & 9th:  Hello Lovely and sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Bigger Blooms stamp set.

 

First, I white embossed the image on watercolor cardstock and spritzed with water.  Then, using an aqua painter, filled in the embossed images and heat dried.  I spritzed some shimmer spray which softened the colors and added a few clear sequins.  

What a fun, relaxing break!

Happy Little Stampers MAY Christmas Challenge

 Welcome back for a new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge!!  Our challenges are Anything Goes, but each month there is an optional twist.  This month's twist:  MASK.

 May?  How did it become May?!  Well, I for one am soooo happy for warm weather and sunshine!  But even though it's spring, I still LOVE creating Christmas cards!  Hope you do too and will join this month's Christmas challenge!

 For my card, I used this reindeer stamp to mask.  I haven't done this technique in a long time and now I can't remember why...it's so fun!

I'm really looking forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.  There's also a $20 HLS discount up for grabs for the winner!

BIG Excitement in the House!!!

I am beyond excited to share that I've been invited to join the Reverse Confetti Crew Design Team!!!  This is a dream come true and I'm really humbled to have been asked by Jen Del Muro and to have the opportunity to work with such amazingly talented team members!!  I can't wait to share my projects made with the newest goodies...be sure to come back on May 5th as we begin our Countdown to Confetti AND celebrate Reverse Confetti's 4th Birthday!

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #246 - Night Before Christmas

 There was a tradition with my husband's extended family that Dan (pseudo grandpa) would dress up in a vintage sleeping gown and cap and read "Twas The Night Before Christmas" to the kids.  He started that tradition with his own three boys and it continued with our children until he passed away several years ago.  That was such a special memory and something the kids always looked forward to!

 

 Nina has a special challenge for us: to create a Christmas Card using the Night Before Christmas theme.

For my card, I used this adorable Mama Elephant set - Festive Mice.  I've been needing a "reason" to break it open and was so thrilled to see Nina's challenge for this week!

Paper Sweeties May Inspiration Challenge

It's a new month and you know what that means?  It's time for a new Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge - yay!!

Our challenges are always Anything Goes and you don't need to use Paper Sweeties products -- all are welcome!  You can link your submission from the Paper Sweeties Blog or on our Facebook page.  There's a $25 gift certificate up for grabs for this month's winner!

 For my card, I'm featuring Paper Sweeties Mason Jar and Mason Jar Sweet Cuts using the paper piecing technique.  The flowers are from the Pretty Posies set which I stamped on pattern paper and fussy cut.  The background square - Scallop Square Frame Sweet Cuts - is new from last month's release!  To finish, I added Bubblegum Seam binding and buttons.
