Let Your Dreams Take Flight

Saturday, May 20, 2017

At this time of year, with many young people graduating from high school and college, it makes me think of the hope of dreams.  My daughter graduated high school a couple years ago and she was filled with dreams of college and what she was going to do in her life.  Thankfully, she has so many more options than I ever did 'back in the day' and so it's really heartwarming for me to see her dreams taking flight!

For my card, I started with Reverse Confetti Vertical Stripes Cover Panel Confetti Cuts (which I used horizontally) and in laid shades of blue. Then, I paper pieced the kites and added the clouds and sentiment from Take Flight.

I'm excited to enter my card in these challenges:

Ahoy, Matey!

Friday, May 19, 2017

Johnny Depp's character, Captain Jack Sparrow, of the Pirates of the Carribean series sure has changed the way we look at pirates...who every thought they'd be kinda cute and endearing?!  Ok, well, maybe not, but THIS little guy certainly is!

For my card, I started with Neat & Tangled Hexastar stencil sponging some Distressed Ink on the base and a little on the edge of the tag.  I used Neat & Tangled Yo Ho Ho set and dies and chose this adorable pirate to color.

Stop by the Drive by Crafts shop and check out the products used in my card...plus see all the newest goodies that have arrived!

Reverse Confetti May Sketch For You To Try

Tuesday, May 16, 2017

There's a new Sketch For You To Try at Reverse Confetti!  Hope you'll join the fun this month -- there's a $20 gift certificate up for grabs, too!!

For my card, I started with the new Leaf Lattice stencil sponging a combination of Lime Green and Sand.  I layered on pattern paper from True Love 6x6 paper pad and cut squares from Iced Aqua and Midnight cardstock.  Then, using Bold Line Pretty Panels cut from Lime Green cardstock, I stamped a sentiment from Simply Sentiments and added this darling panda from Miso Happy.

Paper Sweeties MAY Release Rewind

What do you think of this month's Paper Sweeties Release party?  Pretty adorable, right?!!  All the new goodies are now available for purchase in the boutique!

My card today features several wonderful Paper Sweeties products.  I started by stamping the words from the Coffee Planner Series set in different colors.  Then I stamped the loopy/dash images from the new Handmade for You set and placed some images from the Coffee Planner set inside.  Abigail is a girl after my own heart -- she's thinking of coffee and loves that rich brew just like me -- and looks so smart in her Tackle Life One Day At A Time outfit!

Stop by the Design Team blogs for lots of eye candy featuring the May Release:

Let's here it for Monday!  What? (you say) Mondays are worth cheering about because it brings a new Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge!

Marcia has a colorful challenge for us:  Create a Christmas card using turquoise, blue, green and purple!

For my card, I started with some Doodlebug pattern paper.  The adorable mittens were created using Reverse Confetti Smitten Mittens stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts.

Looking forward to seeing how you use this pretty color combo!  Be sure to take a peek at the lovely projects created by the rest of the Design Team this week:
