Today's YOUR Lucky Day!

Friday, March 17, 2017

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
My grandmother was Irish (which puts a little Irish in me too :)  Every St. Patrick's Day she'd make the traditional meal of corn beef and cabbage.  I'd like to say I looked forward to the dish, but I was not a fan (of the taste or the aroma!)

Instead of making a meal, I opted to make a card instead!

I'm featuring several fun products found in the Drive By Crafts store.  First, if you haven't tried the new Ranger/Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pads, you are missing out on BIG fun -- I'm in love!  I created my backgrounds using these new ink pads.   Using the heart die from Concord & 9th's Layering Leaves, I cut from a piece of cardstock that I inked up with a few colors of Distress Oxide ink pads to create a 4-leaf clover. This fab Neat & Tangled sentiment from the So Lucky set takes center stage for my card and I added a few sequins from Drive By Crafts' Green Dragon mix!

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #239 - Color Challenge

Monday, March 13, 2017

Happy Monday and welcome to a new Merry Monday Christmas Card challenge!  This week, Marcia has a beautiful one for us: Create a Christmas card using copper/bronze, gold and turquoise!

For my card, I started by creating a watercolor background using the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink pads.  Wow - do I LOVE these new pads!!  I took bronzy shimmer cardstock and cut "hills" using My Favorite Things Stitched Valley Die-Namics.  Then, with this cute Reverse Confetti Branch Out tree die, I cut shiny gold, turquoise glitter and bronzy shimmer cardstock.  To finish, I used a sentiment from My Favorite Things Joyous Christmas Sentiments set.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #234 CAS

Monday, February 6, 2017

I'm so excited to be this week's Merry Monday Christmas Card challenge hostess!  My challenge:  Create a Christmas Card that is Clean and Simple (CAS)!

Being a "layering" kind of gal, I have a real hard time keeping things simple (well, yea, I guess that's the story of my life when I think about it!)  I'm looking forward to seeing what YOU come up with and am positive you'll be inspiring me!

Speaking of inspiring...check out the fabulous projects the Design Team is sharing:

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #233 - Five of Something

Monday, January 30, 2017

Happy Monday!  January has just flown by, hasn't it?  I have a confession to make - my tree is still up!  I've been crazy busy with work and business trips that I just haven't had a chance yet...maybe this coming weekend?  Well, I have also been busy making cards - hey, I've got my priorities straight :)

Hope you'll join me and forego some household task and play in this week's Merry Monday challenge.  Debbie is our hostess and has a fun one for us:  Create a Christmas Card with Five of Something on it!

For my card, I chose these cute Christmas lights from Reverse Confetti and paired them with Tim Holtz Holiday Greens dies and Lil Inker Designs Bow die.

Need a little more inspiration?  Then be sure to check out the wonderful projects the Design Team has to share with you:
