SugarPea Designs Welcome Home!

Monday, November 5, 2018

Wow, wow, wow...I'm beyond thrilled to be a Guest Designer for SugarPea Designs this month!!  I've enjoyed creating with these fabulous products for a while and am excited to share my projects with you each week in November!

Ok, now that I've stopped jumping up and down with excitement, let's get to my card for today...

Fall and Thanksgiving bring thoughts of 'homecoming'.  Our family here is small, but we enjoy getting together to share Thanksgiving dinner.  I'm also thrilled to 'welcome home' my daughter who is in college when she arrives for the holiday!  This little creation will be in the center of our kitchen island along with a few Thanksgiving decorations.

What better way to welcome home your family and guests than with this message board!  Layering an olive green cardstock to the cardbase, I cut black cardstock using the Letter Message Board for the background.  Using the Welcome word die, I sponged each letter with different fall colors that coordinate with the colored images.  Speaking of images, how darn cute on these little foxes from the Fall Fox stamp set?!

Thanks for stopping by today - see you next week with a new project!

Reverse Confetti Fall-idays Blog Hop - Thanksgiving Dinner

Tuesday, October 9, 2018

Welcome back to Reverse Confetti Fall-idays Blog Hop!  Today the Design Team and some special guests are sharing Thanksgiving-themed projects.  Hope you'll hop along and be inspired PLUS enjoy 15% off your entire order October 8-10, 2018!!

Setting the table for Thanksgiving is as much a family tradition as our meal! There have been years that my daughter and I have go way out so much so that there was almost no room to eat dinner!  This year...we're going clean and simple!

With a simple rustic theme, I created these utensil pockets.  I cut Dark Roast cardstock using the Bag & Tags Creator and gold embossed one of the sentiments in the Fall Foliage set.  Using one of the patterns from the Abundant Autumn paper pad, I wrapped the pocket with it and a piece of wide natural ribbon.  The leaves from the Fall Foliage set were gold embossed on Dark Roast cardstock and cut.

I used the tag die from the Bag & Tags Creator to make the "placecard" which I haven't decided whether to place on a napkin ring or in a pinecone :)

My daughter made us these wood cut name 'cards' last year (which I added one of the Fall Foliage leaves to) so we may just use both!

Thankful for You

Friday, November 17, 2017

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week -- 2017 is just speeding to an end!  I'm glad we have a holiday dedicated to giving thanks -- and there is so much to be thankful for even in the midst of the chaos in our world.  Hoping you and yours have a blessed Thanksgiving!

For my card, I started with Sand cardstock for the base.  Using Premiere Polar White cardstock, I used the Leaves Cover Plate die and then sponged on Lime Green, Rust and Bumblebee ink.  I then cut gold shiny cardstock with one of the Wheat dies.  For the acorns, I stamped the one using Happy Harvest stamps/dies and then die cut Rust cardstock and a pattern paper design from Every Little Bit paper pad for the other.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration:
