You Warm My Heart

Whew - the last couple days of this holiday weekend have been filled with home projects and I haven't been able to get in my craft room to create.  Thankfully, I got a big one done and got to play tonight!

For my card, I used several Paper Sweeties products.  After layering a couple of pretty pattern papers, I used the With Love Sweet Cuts cutting white cardstock to create the "napkin edge" under the teapot.  The paper pieced teapot was created by stamping pattern paper and gold shiny cardstock (spout, lid and handle) with the Tea For Two stamp and cutting with the coordinating die.

The flowers/leaves are from the Pretty Posies stamp set.  I first stamped the flower on peach cardstock then on pattern paper - cutting out the center of the pattern paper flower and popping it onto the peach flower.  To finish, I stamped the You Warm My Heart sentiment and added Cookie Dough sequins.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration:

1) Use more than one pattern paper
2) Submit card in the Coffee Lovers Bloghop

(die-cut, florals, sequins)

  4. Adorable...loving the plaid and polka dots together and your distribution of the papers through out and piecing on the teapot...love it all. I'm always inspired with your projects in both Paper Sweeties and the Coffee BlogHop and so glad you shared one of your projects in support of DOUBLE DARE and hope you check us out for our next challenge.

  5. Wow! I love the way the plaid looks. I like how you only used part of the plaid on the flowers but then repeated it on the pot and then the background.

  17. Hi! I just saw your fabulous card on the Fusion website and HAD to write and say how lovely it is. I have "plenty" of pattern paper but rarely seem to use it. Your card gives me new inspiration.
